Navigation is just the beginning. nüvi 255 includes many travel tools including JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock with time zones, currency converter, measurement converter, calculator and more. With photo navigation, you can download Google Panoramio pictures via our Garmin Connect Photos website and navigate to them. It also comes with Garmin Lock, an anti-theft feature.     This unit functions well, but you still need to keep an eye on the map a little. This only because it wants to be as accurate with the streets as possible. Ex: while entering the 610 S ramp, it said "Enter 290 ramp south". While this is technically correct (that ramp actually comes from 290 and goes to 610), all the other street signage only mentions 610 S! I understand this kind of issues easier than my wife, but she would be confused. Nevertheless, it got me out of some situations easier and faster than if I would not have it. Overall, I shoped around a little and I found this a good buy for the price.
