5 of 5 Awesome! Thursday, May 02, 2002 Greg from Williamsport, Pa
At first, I was skeptical of this system. As I have had the GB pocket and GB colour, I wasn't too impressed with the portable systems. However, as I have only played Spyro on it, it is awesome. The graphics kick as well as the overall design or the system, easy to hold. It plays most of the original games as well, which is a plus. The only drawback is that it requires a well lit area to properly see the screen. I say excellent job Nintendo!! Was this review helpful?

I have enjoyed my little Game Boy Advance since it first came out. I am now especially enjoying the vast titles that have been released and what will soon be coming out. Everyone's biggest gripe has been no backlighting... well soon I will be enjoying backlighting as well thanks to a little project that began nine months ago. So I would say that with the intense graphics and great gameplay I will be enjoying this system for a long while! Was this review helpful?

When Nintendo anounced that it was to release yet ANOTHER gameboy, some people were stupified, with remarks like "another one?!", but there is nothing even remotely similiar in that thios one has 32 bits of animation, thats basically like a handeheld PS1 and on some games, like THPS2, it really shows. Its also held horizntally as opposed to the vertical Gameboy and Gameboy color. Also, it has two new buttons, the L & R, these dont serve very many purposes, except, when playing OLD SCHOOL games, it changes the screen size. But the GBA has 1 flaw, no backlit screen, which could have really made it better, but dont let that stop you, GBA is till THE BEST handheld on the market. Was this review helpful?
