5 of 5 So good, I bought a second camera! Sunday, May 11, 2008 A Customer from O'Fallon, Missouri
My wife works in real estate. She needed a camera that had long range zoom and was easy to handle so that she could easily take pictures of the properties she's working with. I did quite a bit of research on the internet for a reliable camera, and I found the Fuji FinePix S700. Almost all of the customer reviews I saw stated that the buyers/users loved this camera. Especially, since it is priced very, very reasonably. I bought the camera for her and she loved it! I played around with it, too, and was really impressed with it's abilities. So impressed, in fact, I bought a second Fuji FinePix S700 for me! Certainly no regrets here. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great for full-motion video Friday, April 25, 2008 tsmith_buy@mattapoisett.org from Mattapoisett, MA
I use this as a cheap video camera. The full motion, 30 frame per second video is great. Creates AVI files. The autofocus doesn't not track 100% during zooms, but overall I'm pleased. Oh yea...make a great digital cam too! Was this review helpful?

Two Words which descibe this Camera - "Simply Awesome"
Since the advent of Digital Cameras I have used range of Brands from Sony, Casio, Samsung, Canon but never got a Fuji as I didnt had a kind of Excellent Brand Image about it until I bought this Cool Cam "Fuji FinePix S700".
To Start with this camera can be heaven for Starters and Hell for Professionals---- Reason Being it introduces features to the starters which professional photographer uses and professional photographers will think they had a taste of this kinda cameras before.
Plus Points.
1. Execellent Zoom Lense
2. Bright 2.5 Display with Image Frame Division and Antiglare Screen, ensures u see image crisp even in Sunlight
3. Image Stabilisation and Red eye Reduction
4. Accepts SD-Card of 4+GB
5. Works great with Re-Chargeables.
6. Flash is used to its potential, getting decent photos than other competitors.
7. Video mode also has zooming provision with sound.
Minuses:
Well I only found drawbacks of this Camera when I compared with the products which are atleast 100$ more than this one, like Panasonic Lumix and Canon Powershots, so i wont bother to specify them and restrict anyone to buy this gadget as people seeing these reviews might have pocket limit of 200$.
There is nothing better than Fuji S700 given its price and value for money.
Three words to end - GO FOR IT!!! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Love this camera! Monday, March 03, 2008 A Customer from New Holland, PA
This camera is great. Love the quality of the camera and the price was the best around. It takes great pictures in places where the lighting is very poor, like in a gym or dark auditorium. I like the size of the display screen and the fact that the battery life is so long. Love this camera! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great camera Tuesday, December 25, 2007 Brooke from Brownsburg, Indiana
I got this camera for Christmas, and I actually picked it out myself. I read several reviews for tons of cameras, prices high and low, and this was what I ended up with. I got it for $180 or so, but you can't beat this price for a camera this good. It has a lot of features that are really helpful! The zoom is quick and close, it's probably my favorite feature. However, my least favorited feature of this product that I knew before I bought it was that it took 4 AA batteries, because my parents Kodak takes 2 AA and it's practically worthless. I've used this camera all day and the batteries still haven't run out. So far, so good. The manual itself is almost 200 pages, so it's got a few complications. I love how the flash pops up by itself, no settings required. The flash appears very far away, it's amazing. The software with this camera is slow. Maybe it's my computer, but my Kodak software went much faster. It took forever to get the pictures on my computer.
A downside to this camera that I noticed right out of the box, is that whatever you see on the LCD screen before you take a photo appears to be grainy. However, after taking a picture you don't notice it. When I put them on my computer, a few came out grainy as well but I assume that I can fix it with the right settings. The software editing is helpful as well.
Overall, the video is great, the value is great, the price is great.
A good camera indeed. I'm excited to put it to work. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 You get what you pay for Thursday, December 13, 2007 A Customer from Charleston, SC
This camera was great from the minute I picked it up. It's light weight, easy to grip (and I have really small hands), and the viewing screen is very easy to see indoors. I haven't tested it outdoors yet. My only complaints are that it doesn't come with a memory card, I haven't found a black/white setting, and there is no manual zoom/focus. Overall, it is a great value at about $200.00. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Exceeds my expectations... Tuesday, December 11, 2007 tsmith_buy@mattapoisett.org from Mattapoisett, MA
Excellent performance and great resolution. The 10X optical zoom is a little touchy for video work, but the full 30 fps video frame rate by far outweighs this. While I had thought the price was excellent ($160) at Buy.Com, I found that local retailers were selling it for $109. Unfortunately I has selected free shipping which buy.com will not price match. It's not the smallest camera and will not fit in your shirt pocket, but has a nice "slr" feel to it. It comes with a nice long camera strap. It uses four AA batteries. The redeye preflash doesn't seem to work as well as expected, but it's still a keeper. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good overall camera Monday, December 03, 2007 Good choice for snap shots + from Pleasant Hill, CA
l bought this camera before a trip to Croatia and it worked well. What l liked is:
Good in low light;
Manual over rides are at your disposal;
10x optical zoom is impressive;
Good size screen;
Fairly small and feels good in the hand with the grip.
What are the down sides?
You need to know it doesn't come with any memory card so buy a 2 Gig SD card;
The stabilization is not gyroscopic, it's an exposure adjustment, but it seemed to work alright;
Shutter lag noticeable but probably average for this price range;
Although the zoom is good, it would be nice to have a wider angle lens, you will find yourself pushed up against the wall or simply not taking the picture of the castle because it won't fit;
Buy yourself 8 rechargeable batteries (so you have spares) the highest milliamp you can find (i.e. 2750 mAh) and a small camera bag (l found one at Circuit City that fit it perfectly for $19.99) to hold the 4 batteries and an extra card. Big camera bags make no sense with small cameras! You will either stop using the bag or the camera... Good luck with your photos! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 FujiFilm FinePix S700 - Good value Sunday, December 02, 2007 patbawa@juno.com from Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas
I am a budding amateur and this is my first digital camera purchase. I spent the first day reading the manual and after that taking pictures was a breeze. I was able to take good crisp pictures using various modes - both indoors and outdoors. Night-time outdoor pictures were fairly good, although, I do need to improve my technique. I like the fact that this camera is easy to use. It might not satisfy the requirements of a professional, but for an amateur like myself, it is a good value. I have owned this camera for approximately 3-4 weeks. I have no serious complaints. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 my birthday camera Friday, November 30, 2007 Julie Johnson from Rockville, In
I have used my camera several times and am still surprised at the ease and quality. Everything around it was great. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Really nice camera for the price Sunday, September 23, 2007 Steve from Chesapeake, VA
Having both 10X optical zoom and super-macro (close-ups to 1 cm) capabilities (not to mention video)in one camera is really nice. The auto setting gives perfect exposures and excellent color. The S700 provides seemingly limitless modes and settings for virtually any lighting or movement conditions. It even has a settings for color enhancement and for black and white photos!
LCD is big and bright, and camera grip and balance feel very comfortable. For the price, it's a fine 7 megapixel digital. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Camera Monday, September 17, 2007 Richie from Alb, NY
I had a Canon 4MP that died and found this one to replace it. The picture quality is great, it is very easy to use (even my wife figured it out) and it is a good deal at Buy.com. Takes SD or xD which is nice. A little akward to hold but I am sure I will get used to it. It is a little bigger than most (which makes it easier to hold but harder to find a carry case for. Would definately buy this again. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 new camara Saturday, August 25, 2007 fourenuf@mac.com from freehold nj
I really like the camara but, I don't like the idea that when I have it developed it doesn't have the date. That is how I put my pics in order if the kids go through them and mess them up. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 reliable Fuji Sunday, August 12, 2007 Pat from BR, Louisiana
This is my third Fuji camera and all are still working well, the first 2 in the hands of my grandsons. I'm not an expert, use the camera for pictures of family, flowers, and fun things such as hot air balloons and birds. This little S700 is the best yet- so easy to use, with some nice bells and whistles that make it even more fun. The 10X zoom is great ! It makes me look like an expert. Great quality for the very reasonable price. Order a card (the SanDisk Type M xD-Picture Card 1GB is more than enough for me) and a bag for the complete package. I'm happy with rechargable batteries which last a good length of time before needing to be replaced. Was this review helpful?
