Combining the new RP Processor, 5th Generation Super CCD-HR Sensor and Fujinon Lens Optics, the E900 delivers ultra-high sensitivity with low noise, faster operational speeds and reduced power consumption. This allows you to capture priceless memories of photographs with every nuance of light and color, even in low light situations without a flash.
The superb optics of the Fujinon lens collects light and precisely forms the image in conjunction with a 5th Generation Super CCD-HR. Bring your subject closer to you with a 4.0x Optical Zoom (equivalent to a 32-128mm on a 35mm camera). Increase your photo capture ability by utilizing the 7.6x Digital Zoom for a combined 30.4x total zoom range. With the Macro mode, the E900 can focus clearly as close up as 3.0".
The new E900 offers you "point and shoot" simplicity in full auto mode as well as manual, macro, movie and 4 pre-programmed position modes (Natural Light, Portrait, Sports and Night). These scene modes allow you to get the shot you want anytime at any moment. For the aspiring photographer, the E900 gives you the ability to manually control settings to explore the wonderful world of photography.
Just select "Natural Light" Mode and the camera will automatically suppress the flash and adjust sensitivity up to ISO 800 to compensate for low-light situations, letting you easily take photos in a variety of indoor or outdoor situations and capture the image in full detail just as your eye sees it – without a flash.

5 of 5 Good 9 megapixel Camera Friday, March 16, 2007 Daniel Emmanuel from Shenandoah, TX
I use the Fuji S9000, which is the best deal I know for what I consider a high quality 9 megapixel digital camera. However, I travel a lot and get concerned that my S9000 would get damaged because of its size, the same as a average DSLR. So I did a lot of research and ended up with the Fuji E900 for several reasons. I like the 9 megapixel images, the menus and shooting modes are basically the same as my S9000 so it was easy to learn to use, and I liked the value for the price, $299. Overall, the only thing I did not like was that it had a 7.6x digital zoom that should have been limited to about 4x, which I think is the maximum digital zoom for maintaining a good image quality for this camera without distortion and is the reason why I gave it a 4 for performance. 5 of 5 Great camera! Easy to use right out of the box! Friday, February 09, 2007 sandiamt from Rio Rico, AZ
This camera replaces a camera that was stolen. It's my second time with this model and I love it as much as I did the first one. The pictures are clear and very modifiable at almost all settings. Make sure to go through the set up portion of the manual first, so you get the most out of what you're trying to do. The zoom feature, both auto and digital, work very well. When using the digital zoom be sure to use something to stabilize the camera. Great pictures, lots of uses! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great pictures - Little Cost Tuesday, October 24, 2006 sandiamt from Rio Rico, AZ
Although I haven't had a chance to use all of the features, those I have used are great! The picture quality at 9 megapixel is really excellent and allows for cropping and adjusting without losing image quality. The rechrgeable AA batteries are a great feature and can be supplanted by using standard AAs during recharge. The many features I have yet to use I'm sure will enhance my enjoyment of this camera. Compared to my old camera this camera is great. Very Easy to use, once you get use to the menus. Battery life using lithium AA batteries is very good; Camera is small and very light. I looked around and this camera had a lot of good reviews. Picture quality is very good. This is a good buy for the price. Get the one gig XD card, at the 9 mega pixel fine setting the picture size are very large but you can change the mega pixel size to a lower value. Was this review helpful?
