In this original film in the Francis the Talking Mule franchise, a heroic, but anxious soldier, Peter Stirling (Donald O'Connor) strikes up a friendship with Francis, the Army mule. Unfortunately for Peter, Francis will help him with his romantic problems, but won't show his skills to anyone else! As a result, Peter keeps getting sent to the psychiatric ward for insisting on the mules amazing abilities.

Plot Summary
