This time, however, the Garza brothers--Henry (guitar), Jojo (bass), and Ringo (drums)--play down the Latino influences, and opt for more straight pop, rock, and blues leanings. Aided by New Orleans keyboard legend Dr. John and producer Steve Jordan (John Mayer, Robert Cray), the Garzas ease into a radio-friendly set that includes the dreamy title track, the happily romantic "Staying with Me," and the passionate "You Can't See the Light," which features Henry's searing six-string work. Other high points include the Lenny Kravitz-like tunes "Heart Won't Tell a Lie" and "Make It Better," which capture the trio's simmering live energy. While some LLB diehards might miss the Texan group's vintage Santana-isms, ultimately the ensemble's catchy melodies make for an accessible album that should appeal to a wide array of pop/rock fans. | Producer: Steven "Steven J."
