Fun, easy to use, runs on AA batteries (and they last!) I am very pleased with this product and really impressed with the resolution of the videos. I would recommend it to anyone.

When I decided that I wanted to buy a digital recorder, I had a much higher-priced, larger device in mind. After reading the reviews on the Flip and comparing the price to more complex devices, I decided to give this a shot. I am amazed at how easy it is to use (although, I must confess, some of my videos begin with me cursing at trying to get it started). I've taped a student fashion show, drum circle, Toastmaster speeches, and the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas. All of these have been easily shared with others.

This is a great little gadget-- not for "real" home videos-- but fun and easy to use-- the download is a bit confusing- but once you get the hang of it- you can send short videos to friends & youtube too! A memory card would be a great addition.

The FLIP is a good capture camera, but don't expect any HD images. For the price it does what it is suppose to do. So far it seems to work well. A memory card would have made transfer a lot easier, and hopefully future models will have one. I am heading to Belize for some snorkeling tomorrow and I purchased the Flip housing for this unit just for that purpose. We will see how well this camera does underwater.

Purchased the Flip as a gift for my wife to use for any occasion. It's small, easy to use and runs on only 2 AA batteries. After recording videos of the kids opening gifts on Christmas we were able to effortlessly connect it to our large screen TV (cable included) and play them back for visiting family and friends. I would definitly recommended the Flip to anyone with children that doesn't want to miss those special moments.

Purchased flip camcorder for our vacation. Very easy to use and video is better than expected. Size makes it ideal for travel. Only drawback, no memory card. Overall very satisfied with it performance

Simple, simple, simple. A few buttons and no tapes makes this camera very friendly to the non-techie. Video and audio quality far exceeded my expectations. The screen is a little small, but usable.

As a professional speaker I am always looking for new and better ways to communicate my message. I recently purchased The Flip Video Ultra. This piece of equipment is better than advertised. I can utilize it is several ways. I can create a video blog with it, record on site testimonials in my audiences and the quality is outstanding. I am SO glad I made this purchase...It is easy to use (even for a low tech person as myself) and the applications for using video are endless. the USB is so handy. This is the perfect camera for capturing everyday moments during the day, but I don't think I would rely on it for important life events. I think it's a wonderful camera if you are thinking of starting or running a video blog - you can very easily record your impressions or other people's impressions of an event in very high quality. It's also really good for recording talks, lectures, and other public events that you might want to share. The quality is really phenomenal, and if it had a 3 hour recording time it might just replace my DV camera. You will want to get rechargeable batteries and a USB extension cable for it. Without these two things you will be frustrated!

uses regular batteries - should work on putting rechargable batteries for convenience. Also, files are large and should have a compression software built in. sending files takes a long time as they are so large. otherwise it's simple to use, small, and very convenienct. only a few small bugs need changed for future models.

I have not used all of the "bells & whistles" on this camera, but it is really easy to figure out. The video & sound quality are great! I'm a Social Studies teacher, and I plan to use it for my classroom projects. The kids are going to LOVE it! (It was shipped really fast, too!)

I love this product. I an admitted gadget hound, but I have to say this is one of my all time favorites. The Flip Video makes it amazingly easy to shoot videos of friends, family, work situations, etc. And with the USB port, it's even simpler to share them. I keep buying them as gifts because they are the best thing out there. I own a marketing company and we use them to help our clients capture testimonials of their great work. It's fantastic!

The flip is very compact in size, small enough to fit in your front pocket. I like it because you can take a video, then plug it right into your computers usb port with no cords. You can download videos on your computer then transfer them to a dvd or just watch them on t.v. with the audio cables that come with it. Over all i like the camera for quick and easy camcording. Now if your into camcording like a professional this isnt for you. Its purpose is just quick and easy. It doesnt zoom in like normal video cameras but then again thats why this is a flip. You can also take videos and download them on your copmuter then remix them with your own music, cool cool feature. laughs and laughs. buy .com is very quick with delivery, i did all my christmas shoping online and buy.com has your package at the door in 1 to 2 days! thanks again!

Always available and ready at a moments notice. Convenient and can be dropped in your pocket. Super simple to use and transfer video to computer, email or upload. Video is crisp and rivals that of my 8mm Handycam. Does a surprisingly good job in lower light situations. Sensitive sound, conversations are picked up nicely, loud background noises are too (tv, radio, phone...). Light wind doesn't seem to be a problem however. The LCD is small but bright and easily viewed. While dim it can still be seen in direct bright sunlight. None of my other LCDs can be seen in direct sunlight, not even my expensive digital camera. This is great for any outdoor activity. According to the manufacturer an underwater case will be available soon. Simple hookup to computer using the built in USB plug. I would recommend using a USB extension cable for convenience. Editing software is run from the camera when you hook it up. Very basic editing can be done. Trim, renaming, copy to computer, delete, send email, greeting or upload that's about it. If your looking for advanced editing you will want a different program on your computer. Shouldn't have a problem editing the video as it's a standard format (Video: MPEG4 640x480 30.00fps/Audio: MS ADPCM 44100Hz mono 177Kbps). The camera can be accessed through the included program or directly like any external storage device. Only drawback I see. And from something this small and easy to use shouldn't be expected anyway. Is zoom capability. The unit has 2x digital zoom so your best bet in zooming is to move closer to your subject. Just can't get over how easy and convenient this thing is for the quality of video. I will be taking more video of everyday moments now instead of just holidays. For hand-free recording the camera will stand by itself or use the tripod mount (on bottom). Package came with everything needed to shoot. Camera, batteries, strap, case and cable to connect to TV. Word of caution, my hand-strap came undone. I check my equipment after every use out of habit. Noticed the string was undone so no damage. No force was put on it beside carrying the camera. Didn't fall apart just came undone, I unscrewed the connector and retied the string, works like new again.

A convenient little gadget for capturing any event without fidgeting w/a whole lot of equipment. Good picture quality, but the zoom lens fogs up the works---leave it alone & just get closer to the subject if possible. If you are nervous, your images will be jerky so hold the camera as steadily as possible. An image stabilizer would be an improvement, but it would probably up the price---which is a fair one for what you get. Email tech support excellent---24 hr.answers to queries. Great stocking stuffer.

Unbelievable. I love it. It's small, easy to use, and comes with everything. I plug it right into the tv to see the videos instantly. Easy to download to computer and manipulate videos for formating. It has replaced all our expensive cameras. I have it with me all the time and have been able to capture priceless moments.
