| | Album Notes and Credits | Notes & Personnel Info | | This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. | | Personnel: Scarface, Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel, Nas, W.C. (rap vocals); Kelly Price, Faith Evans (vocals); T. Mix (various instruments); Mike Dean (guitar, keyboards); Darrale Crooks (guitar); Uncle Eddie (bass); B. Johnson (drums); Kanye West (background vocals). | | Producers include: Mike Dean, China Black, Kanye West, Nashiem Myrick, Lee Stone. | | This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. | | On THE FIX, Scarface works overtime to show that a rapper can retain his gangsta credibility and still explore other avenues of expression. He lays down hard-hitting thug-life scenarios on such tracks as "Safe" and "Keep Me Down," but THE FIX is far from monochromatic. The bevy of producers add something special to each track, from the aforementioned "Keep Me Down"'s clever utilization of an acoustic guitar riff sampled from '60s folkie Tom Rush, to golden-touch crew the Neptunes adding some pop/R&B flavoring (not to mention the sensual vocals of Faith Evans) to the catchy "Someday." Thematically, "Guess Who's Back" finds Scarface singing the praises of old-school camaraderie with Beanie Siegel and Jay-Z, while the complex sociological analysis of "What Can I Do?" favorably recalls the Furious Five's classic "The Message." |

5 of 5 Great Saturday, October 12, 2002 LIlchick186 from Oakland, California
I loved the way scarface has his own sound and voice. No one can tell him that he sounds like someone else. LIke 2pac he will also be known playing in people's stereo bumping down the street. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Uncle Face still "Untouchable" Friday, October 11, 2002 molly-anomaly from So. Phoenix, AZ
"The Fix" says it all. If you are not addicted to Face yet, you will be after this one. This album is truly a masterpiece of his mind. He is wiser, stronger, and even more powerful then ever before. Although "Last Of A Dying Breed" is my personal favorite, The Fix is more user friendly to those who are intimidated by street speaking soldiers or have not experienced any of the trials and tribulations Uncle Face has. The Fix is packed with his unique ability to combine uplifting spiritual lines to ease the soul, the truth hurts flows, and straight heat from the street tracks for which he is known for. Overall The Fix contiues to be straight from the heart, no sugar coating, tantalizing flows and mind piercing thoughts, that after listening all the way through, it will leave you with the urge to play it again and again and again. 5 of 5 Scarface is back with "The Fix"! Thursday, October 10, 2002 Aaron from McCaysville, GA
This is a remarkable album and it shows why Scarface has been a fixture in southern hip-hop for so many years. The album features good production and Face drops knowledge with his lyrics. I would definitely suggest that everybody who loves real hip-hop check "The Fix" out.

4 of 5 Very Nice CD by Scarface Thursday, October 10, 2002 LaShaye R. from W-S, NC
I wasn't really a big fan of Scarface, but now since I heard his new CD "The Fix", I'm surely one of his many fans now! "The Fix" is one of the best albums he has came out with to me. I love every bit of the CD, especially the song "My Block" which Scarface expresses his life growing up,and also the collabration done with Faith Evans, called "Someday". One of the best CD by far I've heard by Scarface Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 all about da soul Wednesday, October 09, 2002 ginger.s from Austin, TX
This gets down to the nitty-grid and hits you right in your soul. The beats turn your body inside out as you groove to the realist melody, but it's toned down from his previous songs; revealing more of his humanistic qualities causing you to feel the lyrics. His words are dope leaving you wanting more after it's over. It keeps your head nodding from beginning to end. It is one fly track, keepin' it real. Was this review helpful?
