Fisher-Price: Star Station Entertainment System

I bought to use with a big screen TV, it does not work well for me at all. The picture is terrible, along with the sound. Only captures the top half of your child. Should of come with an ac adapter, not batteries. Great idea, waste of money. If I had box, I'd send it back!

My son love to sing and see himself on tv. This is a perfect gift and very cool. It also has a lot of 3-d controls.

This product is great for all ages, I even get up and sing with my daughter. She puts on a show for the entire family. Easy to work/setup and hours of entertainment.

Cute idea and my 5 year old granddaughter loves it, but... the kids on the packaging are very young, however, the songs on the ROMS are for MUCH, MUCH, older children.

I almost didn't open after some of the reviews I read but my little girl got this for her birthday and she begged. I'm so glad I let her. It was easy to hook up and use. She has danced and sang for hours. The only warning I have is that you need many AAA and C bateries!

Both my 2 1/2 yr old daughter and almost 7 yr old son are loving this. Our only regret is that the ROM that comes with it only has 4 songs on it, of course we will be buy some of the others IF we can find them. They were already pretty scarce in our area at the begining of Novemeber.

Granddaughter loved it BUT her Dad has had some headaches from it! She wants it on ALL the time and the batteries in the base (6 C batteries) are always needing changed. I tried to call customer service to see if we could get some sort of an electrical adapter so we could plug it in but they keep telling me there is very high call volume and then hang up on me! Also - there is no lyrics sheet for the songs - and I bought her ALL of the cartridges!!! She can learn them by rote eventually but my son is upset that he can't really help her learn the songs. So - her FAVORITE toy is also a PROBLEM!!! Wish Fisher Price would read this and help us - then it would be a 5 star toy!

Even though it was purchased for my 4 yr old grandson, the 8 yr old and the 1 1/2 yr old love to watch themselves on the TV when they sing the songs-at least the 1 1/2 yr old thinks she is singing !!

I purchesed for the kids, they love it, however they do not know the songs to well. They need to learn them with the kidz bop cds. If the child knows the song they can have lots of fun.

I bought this as a gift for my 6 year old daughter who thinks she is a diva. She loves watching herself dance on tv. I just wish some of the music was geared toward her age. She doesn't know the words and end up turning down the music volume and turning on a CD to sing along with. The same goes with my 4 year old, they love singing, but the songs are a bit

Beware, all of this is battery operated (the base and the microphone) and the first time your child leaves the base on, you will need 6 more batteries. Also, music is much too advanced for a 4 yr old so she lost interest quickly when she did not know the words to the songs.

The idea is great and it works good but there is no power cord so you have to use batteries in both the microphone and the base. The cartridge that comes with it only has a few songs on it and the extra cartridges aren't cheap. The machine on this site ended up being a bit more than in the stores locally. All this being said, my 5 year old daughter loves it, though she is not familiar with all the songs on it yet.

Great for all ages. Please purchase additional music only a couple os songs on each. If not turn off the sound and add your own music. Fun for everyone.

Not really what we were expecting! Alot of the songs aren't that great for a three year old, they should have some nursery songs or child's songs.

My grandson is 8 and he loves putting on shows for the family. He also has austim and this has helped him a great deal.

This is a great toy for any age!! My daughter loves seeing herself on the television and hearing herself sing and talk with the microphone. The sound comes out cleary and the picture comes out clear, also. She won't let anybody use it, not even me!! It is built wonderfully, nice and sturdy. I also bought this toy for gifts. I think it's worth the money.

This product is the perfect gift for fun, outgoing kids. Plus, it's always fun to give something the parents can pretend to roll their eyes about (noise factor). But, I happen to know they love seeing their little ones be the "stars"!

We bought this item for our 4 year old daughter, who loves performing and singing. We first tried it out in a toy store and it looked good. When we set it up after Christmas, the image was totally distorted and we could not change the image screen using the microphone. We were totally disappointed with this toy.

The toy ran on batteries or you can buy an ac adapter which I cant find and FP did not have. The toy worked for 3 minutes and shut off every time the microphone moved. I called fp and if I pay shipping and handeling they will replace. I have talked to 4 other people that have had the same problem. I do not recommend this toy. It is not worth the money.

We thought our little "performers" would love this since they sing the Kids Bop songs in the car and we have a recorder they are always using to listen to themselves, but our kids were not excited about this nor do they use anymore after Christmas. The cartridge it comes with only has 5 or 6 of songs and you have to buy more. If they could record and playback video then they probably would like it more.

Not the quality I expected. Songs were more appropriate for teens. No information was provided for purchasing additional cartridges. We found cartridges, but they were also for preteen/teen age. The system is difficult to operate.

The star proformer was a great hit at my house my 3 1/2 year old loves it also my 11 month old son loves to see himself on the tv. They just sing and laugh for hours at a time .Great way to entertain the children ,it's like having american idol night in your living room with little people. Thanks again

A very expensive system. Takes a lot of batteries for the system. The microphone doesn't work like it should. The child sings in the microphone but you can't hear them at all!!!!!!!

My granddaughter refused to share with her little friend after we hooked up the Star Station to our T.V. This caused a lot of tears and the other mother had to take her child and leave. Soon after they left though my granddaughter tired of being a t.v. star and moved on to play with other toys she received for her birthday. However periodically during her 10 day visit with us, I had to hook up the Star Station so she could ham it up. My opinion....kids love it but get bored easily.

My brother bought this system for my kids. They were very excited at first but quickly lost interest. You can barely see them on the TV screen, sound is horrible and it loses any flair it had several minutes out of the package. I don't think they used it again after that first day.

My 3 y/o son loves to sing and dance so I thought this would be perfect for him.What a waste of money!! I returned it the next day. There is nothing good to say about this system. The microphone was awful and so was the picture quality on the TV-DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

My three yr old loves it, the songs are popular songs, but that is great--sister plays along because of that and they are not too old for any child--unless you listen to nothing but nursery rhymes in the car---extra songs can be bought for little ones (ABC, Animal Songs ETC) but those do not catch the attention of my child--that is Pre-school work, not "PRETEND" which is the whole point--the mic was a problem, but took it back, got a replacement, no problems since BROUGHT THREE MORE 4 OTHER CHILDREN WHO LOVE MY DAUGHTERS--

Not an adult karaoke machine, but my kids enjoy it. They love seeing themselves on tv! Not the greatest picture and sound quality but the kids don't complain and watching them is fun for us parents. As long as the kids are happy that's what it's all about!

We bought this for our daughters, ages 6 & 3, for Christmas and they were very excited about it. I have to agree that it does have it's problems. It does take a lot of batteries and I wish it had an AC adapter, but I think I unerstand why it doesn't. The picture quality is also not great and we have trouble with lighting in the room where we use it, but the kids do not seem to mind and they do have fun with the special effects. The bigger problem is that they have to be within 4-5 feet of the base unit for it to pick up the sound from the microphone. I've seen other comments about the music and while I agree that the music on the cartridge that comes with the unit is not what my children normally listen to, you can buy other cartridges with songs for a variety of age levels and the best part is that you can attach a portable CD player and play any CD you want. I also saw a comment about wanting to be able to record and play back performances and if you hook the unit up through a VCR like we have done, you are able to do this. Overall, my children enjoy it.

It was hard to capture my granddaughters on the television screen. We had to move and prop the Star Station numerous times. In addition, lighting was also a problem because we had to turn on or off the kitchen, dining room, hall and living room lighting to find the proper setting. The worst part of the product was the terrible song cartridge that is provided. "Who let the dogs out" is not a song a 3 year old is familar with along with the rest of the songs.

My 5 year old grandson loves to be center stage and use a microphone. This was a perfect gift for him. Not only does he entertain a crowd but he can see and entertain himself. I would recommend this for any child 3 to 9 years old.

This was a gift for my neice on her birthday and she loves it. Continued to play with it even after she got more new things for Christmas. All of her friends saw it and then they put it on their Christmas lists!

I got this for my daughter age 5, for Christmas and it was very disappointing. The quality of the picture on the TV is very poor and you can hardly hear her with the microphone. I would not recommend this for anyone every.

This is a fun one for my 3 and 1/2 year old girl, but for the price I expected the picture quality to be better. It is not as good as advertised on the commercials. It does help to add lots of lighting, but she doesn't show up on the TV as sharp and clear as the commercial kids do. I do like the cd capability as the songs included are very limited too.
