4 of 5 Entertaining and Rewarding Friday, December 05, 2008 A Customer from
This toy was purchased as a gift for my 10 month old daughter. She absolutely loves to draw on the surface and claps and rocks to the wonderful songs that this toy plays. She loves to move the bar up and down to "erase" the surface and claps with pride every time she accomplishes this task. She also loves to chew on the drawing pieces included and even at times uses them for what they are intended!! However, you do need to be careful and watch them when they roll the bar down, as tiny fingers can get pinched between the bar and the drawing surface. We find that it's a little more functional when propped up on the stand provided. Overall, this is a wonderful toy that my daughter always seems to pull out in her playroom. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 fun for all Friday, December 05, 2008 A Customer from
We all love this toy! My 10 year old, 4 year old and 2 year old. They all love the texture and feel of the blue goo. The music is funny and upbeat. I must say it is sturdy also. They enjoy leaving footprints on it. A great toy to give or get. It simulates fingerpainting without the mess!!!!! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 PERFECT TOY Friday, December 05, 2008 A Customer from
This baby-sized easel brings out a little one's creative genius while keeping baby mess-free. The as soon as i saw this toy for my 6 month old child i knew it was perfect for her. i feel the people who made it were geniuses!and for the store for selling them. if they did not sell them then i would have never found them. special "goop" surface is not only fun for her to touch, it "magically" responds by rewarding her with fun music and colorful designs. This keept my baby genius out of trubble for hours! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Baby basics musical easel Friday, December 05, 2008 A Customer from
I got baby basics musical easel for my son's first birthday and I got to tell you he just love's it. out of all the toy's that he got this one is his favorite. He just pushes the bar on it up and down all the time and he love's the music. he dances and claps his hands to the beat it make's him so happy. But I'd have to say the goo is the best. you can put hand print's on it which is what my son alway's does and draw or write whatever want and you are not making a mess at all and that's great. So if your looking to buy a good toy I'd say this is the one it's awesome. it's mess free and your little one will definelty enjoy it. 4 of 5 More than a toy! Friday, December 05, 2008 A Customer from
I bought this for my friends baby, once I got it home I had to have one for my son! This toy teaches, entertains, and provides tons of fun, a must have for both baby and parents. Was this review helpful?

We purchased this toy for our daughter's first birthday. The music and drawings we made fascinated our daughter and three year old son for the first day, but they soon grew tired of it and never play with it anymore. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Fingerpainting fun without the mess Friday, December 05, 2008 A Customer from
As a mom, I love this toy. Why? Because it features a tablet that is covered with about 1/4-inch of a squishy, gooey blue substance covered with plastic, and my kids can "feel" the goo through the plastic without getting messy. When they draw designs on the tablet through the goo, a psychodelic design of neon colors on the background is revealed. Even my older kids (ages 5 and 6) have enjoyed trying to reveal as much of the background as possible in their designs! To make the toy even more fun, a snazzy version of "Row, Row, Row your Boat" or "Ring Around the Rosey" plays when the tablet is pressed and played with. My baby girl loves dancing to this music! When the fun is all over, a bar slides back and forth over the tablet, redistributing the goo evenly over the entire surface. The plastic shape-stampers that come with the tablet are pretty useless, since they're so thin that they really don't spread the goo out enough to make an impression that lasts. When you stamp them on the tablet, you can barely tell anything was done at all! But overall, a great and fun toy. Was this review helpful?

2 of 5 Not impressed Friday, December 05, 2008 A Customer from
Our 10 month old doesn't grasp the concept of drawing pictures on the board. Our older boys played with it for awhile. At one time our 4 yr old was erasing the board and the 10 month olds finger got pinched in the erasing bar. Not interesting for our baby! Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Disappointing Friday, December 05, 2008 A Customer from
I was disappointed. The screen doesn't clear unless you try several times. The blocks do not press well into the gel screen unless you twist it slightly to get it to imprint. My child wouldn't know to do that. And even trying to press hands into it, the imprints do not stay. I'm disappointed, I thought it was going to be so great. Sorry for the bad review. 2 of 5 Was Disappointed Friday, December 05, 2008 A Customer from
I bought this for my 2-year-old son who has Down Syndrome. I thought this would be great for his fine-motor skills. You have to press down pretty hard to make marks on the fingerpaint board, and they "pop up" and erase pretty quickly. My 5-year-old likes to use it to play music; my 7-year-old pushed all the blue gel inside to one corner of the fingerpaint pad, and it took a while to get it all flat again. It was a birthday gift, and it's been sitting on the shelf for 2 months now. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Excellent Product for 1-5 year olds Friday, December 05, 2008 A Customer from
Bought the product for my year old grandson who loves music. He has fun pressing the button to play music while taking out the various shapes and replacing them in the correct place. It's a little too hard for him to press the shapes on the surface to make music. However, my three year old and five year old grandsons can and they love to do just that. Not only with the shapes provided but with their match box cars. I'm impressed with this product and would recommend it. Was this review helpful?

1 of 5 Warning: Don't puncture! Friday, December 05, 2008 A Customer from
This had to be the most annoying package for the UPS people to deliver. If you walked near the box, or even looked at it funny, it made noise. No obvious way to control that. It was also accidentally punctured with a pen by a curious toddler who wanted to color on it. That was basically the end of the toy. Was this review helpful?

3 of 5 Not as great as expected but good Friday, December 05, 2008 A Customer from
From the description I imagined that Maddie would fall in love with this item right away. After I received it I was a little disappointed. Sometimes its hard to draw on the surface, the tools dont work well with it and the eraser has to be pused hard and many times to work. Its still a great toy but not what I had hoped it to be. My daughter likes it but its not the amazing toy I had hoped for. Was this review helpful?

3 of 5 An Okay Toy Friday, December 05, 2008 A Customer from
My 13 month old seems to enjoy it. I was disappointed that the gel substance under the screen does not hold shapes or fingerpainting much past when you initially make the impression. However, my daughter does not understand this concept so she's thrilled that it just makes marks! Was this review helpful?

Great floor / table toy. A bit large for the car. Purchased for our 5 mo.old son. His 1 1/2 yr and 4 yr. siblings loved to "teach" him how to use it ! Not to mention the adults all wanted to touch it !! I think we will get plenty of use out of this. Was this review helpful?

2 of 5 Not up to par Friday, December 05, 2008 A Customer from
This toy was disappointing. You can't really draw on it since the material underneath the plastic is too thick to make shapes. My 2-year-old and 8-month-old don't really play with it. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Decent Gift Friday, December 05, 2008 A Customer from
The gift is not great, but not bad. It is a little difficult for a two-year old to "reset" the canvas as the gel has some memory. A child must repeatedly pass the roller eraser back and forth multiple times. Otherwise, a great idea to make fingerpainting less messy. Was this review helpful? Click here to see all 150 reviews
