5 of 5 Terrific and essential book for Step 1 Wednesday, January 23, 2008
Scott from Miami, FL (or) Philadelphia, PA

This book is a great book to outline the most important topics for Step 1, however is not the ONLY book needed to do well on the exam. Best thing - use this book as your guide on what to study, but use more concise books in each discipline (ex. Embryo, Histo, Path, Micro, Biochem, Pharm, etc) to get more detail. As you read through those books, take all your notes in First Aid in the appropriate sections with the outlines. Then once done (in about 5 weeks), study only First Aid and your notes for the week or two leading up to the exam. This book does a great job in organizing material, presenting the highest yield facts. Certainly a must have.
