5 of 5 FELLOWES PS67CS Shredder Saturday, January 17, 2009 A Customer from Inverness, Florida
My faithfull 20 year old Fellowes shredder finally bit the dust when it stripped a gear that was no longer available, so I had to look for a new one. The absolute best price I could find was at Buy.com. Super fast delivery too. Arrived about a week earlier I expected even though it was over a Holiday period.
My new PS67CS does a super job and cuts credit cards too. I hope to get another 20 years out of this one. The only minor downside, is that there was no oil supplied for the cutters. But I have plenty.
Thanks Buy.com. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent shredder Tuesday, December 09, 2008 vermag from Herndon, VA
This is an excellent shredder - powerful, quiet and cross cuts paper. I have been able to feed in regular credit card offers (envelope and all) and it can shred them without issues. I had a Fellowes shredder previously which worked for 9 years before giving up.
It is solidly constructed, with a handle to lift the shredding mechanism from the bin. It seems to have a removable panel behind the handle that can be unscrewed (permanently) to provide direct access to the bin.
A previous reviewer mentioned that it does not auto detect paper feed. It does, it has two switches, a main power switch on the side that you turn on (and can leave on), and a front toggle that you can set on auto feed, off or reverse. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great shredder for the money. Tuesday, November 11, 2008 A Customer from Pinole, CA
My previous shredder was not very good. So I upgraded to this model and I'm very happy. The motor on this thing is pretty heavy compared to my old shredder. It also shreds faster and quieter. One thing I would like added is an auto-detect feeder. So when I feed the paper into the shredder it would automatically start the motor. Oh well, no big deal. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Quiet and Efficient Sunday, August 24, 2008 Denise from Havelock, NC
I've owned about six shredders in the past and this is the best of them all. It is quiet, efficient, compact, safe, and seems reliable. Fellowes has been a quality name for many years.
The only thing it doesn't do is shred CDs/DVDs. That would have been a nice feature, but it isn't a deal breaker.
I am pleased to recommend this to any household that overpowers a light, cheap shredder. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good price, good shredder Monday, August 04, 2008 Kansas Computer Guy from Norton, KS
Good price for the shredder, I wished I would have upgraded a little and purchased one that would shred CD's. Handles many pieces of paper, stacks in bin nicely. Have to lift shredder assembly off bin to dump, not a fan of this as it make mess, but good shredder for price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Pricey But Worth It Wednesday, July 30, 2008 RG from Lafayette Hill, PA
I have typically looked for shredders that were on sale and spent the least amount possible. Fine strategy, but they tend to break in under a year, jam repeatedly, and are very loud. Sometimes it's true what they say...you get what you pay for. I've only owned this one for a couple of months, but can say that the quality is visibly higher that others I've owned. It's quiet, hasn't jammed (of course I'm always careful not to exceed the specified number of sheets per pass), and is very, very sturdy. The handle for removing the top is convenient when emptying. The only change I would make would be to add a pull out bin for emptying...and lower the price of course. Was this review helpful?
