| Not as large and heavy as many steam irons, this one from Farberware smoothly irons everything from delicate nylon to dense, wrinkled linen and denim. Fabrics are accommodated by the iron's variable heat and steam settings (including dry heat), a nonstick sole plate with 65 vents, and blast of steam and spray functions. A handy vertical steam setting allows the iron to remove wrinkles from drapes from a distance of six inches. A large clear window in the iron allows monitoring of the water level in the generous nine-ounce reservoir. After 15 minutes of non-use, the iron will automatically shut off for safety, eliminating those on-the-road worries about whether or not the iron was turned off before leaving home. When ready to resume ironing, simply push the reset button for instant activation. An 'on' light indicates the iron is heating.
