It works great and is extremely quiet with a small footprint on my desk. I reformatted the drive, partitioned it into (2) 1TB partitions and set one up as an a backup drive for Time Machine and the other one as an external storage drive. The Firewire 800 interface is fast and completely trouble free. The drive came with ALL the cables (Firewire 400, 800 and USB) included.

Quiet and Fast! This drive is much quieter than I thought it would be. It is a GIANT plus that this drive includes all of the cables. Look, if the drive runs on a PC or a Mac and it is quiet, cool and small, what else is there? Price? Well the price was great too! Good Job Fantom!

First attempt at Firewire 400 connection to my Vista PC didn't show drive in my computer. I tried the USB connection and it worked immediately. Then went back and tried the Firewire connection again and it worked perfectly. I like the fact that all cable options are included. Don't have to purchase anything else to use this drive. Owner for a day, so far I'm completely satisfied. Good price too.

This was the cheapest per GB, hard drive I could find, let alone a triple interface drive, and I am extremely happy. It worked immediately with my Mac, though I did decide to reformat it to HFS+. I've only had it a couple of weeks but I haven't had a single problem yet.

Kimba Kat...yeah but, we PC users have eSATA that can transfer at 1.5Gbs or 3.0Gbs.

I have 1TB and a 2TB..they are ready out of the box..they do not overheat. Super quiet. I had the 1TB for over 2 years. the best part..it is FIREWIRE!!!! I can copy 500 GB in little time. I feel sorry for PC users that can't take advantage of the Firewire devices!!! (actually, I'm not that sorry)
