 Editor's Note
The Force is strong with this episode of FAMILY GUY that devotes an entire hour to STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE. Seth McFarlane's spoof-happy animated sitcom casts the Griffin family and other Quahog residents as characters from George Lucas's sci-fi classic: patriarch Peter is Han Solo, wife Lois is Princess Leia, son Chris is Luke Skywalker, family dog Brian is Chewbacca, and baby Stewie continues his quest to kill Lois as the evil Darth Vader. From Mos Eisley to the Millennium Falcon, no element of Lucas's beloved universe is safe from McFarlane's hilarious satire. FAMILY GUY PRESENTS BLUE HARVEST includes four minutes of new material and interviews with MacFarlane and the Jedi Master himself, Lucas.

| | Professional Reviews | Empire 3 stars out of 5 -- "[T]here are great gags here..." 02/01/2008 p.146Total Film 4 stars out of 5 -- "The FAMILY GUY makers squeeze the original STAR WARS into bite-size, satirical form." 04/01/2008 p.156 DVD Verdict 9 of 10 Family Guy debuted after the 1999 Super Bowl - which had little going for it as a football game, and not even Janet Jackson's nipple to up the ante. After its premiere, Fox bewilderingly put the show all over the place in its schedule. It was never a ratings winner, but Family Guy developed a strong cult audience who saw a show that blew The Simpsons off the map by being politically incorrect and insanely full of pop culture references...Family Guy is a no-brainer, but Family Guy: The Freakin' Sweet Collection seems like a move for more filthy lucre for Fox. If I knew all the profits went towards keeping the show on the air I would swoop into Best Buy and snap up the entire lot of them! - Brett Cullum
