In six years of coaching, Grant Taylor has never led his Shiloh Eagles to a winning season. After learning that he and his wife Brooke face infertility, Grant discovers that a group of fathers are secretly organizing to have him dismissed as head coach. Devastated by his circumstances, he cries out to God in desperation. When Grant receives a message from an unexpected visitor, he searches for a stronger purpose for his football team. For those who felt insufficiently uplifted by "Invincible" and "Gridiron Gang," here comes "Facing the Giants," an aggressively inspirational drama about a born-again high school football coach. Financed by the congregation of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Ga., pic was made by brothers Alex and Stephen Kendrick, the church's media and teaching pastors, and features a cast described in press notes as "all volunteer." Technically polished but dramatically tepid, it might score in the niche market for Christian-themed entertainment...The complete lack of dramatic tension throughout "Facing the Giants" makes the thoroughly predictable pic seem much longer than it is. - Joe Leydon

I am a mom of 6 and have watched this movie 5 times already. It never gets old. It is so exciting, and sweet and wonderful all rolled into one movie.
The take home theme is: There is NOTHING God Can't Do!!

I saw this movie and loved it so much - I bought 50 copies (one each for every member of my staff) as a Christmas present.
What amazed me is how much the women and their young daughters loved the movie.
If you enjoy movies which raise your spirit and speak to hope - no matter the circumstances = this is the movie!! Was this review helpful?
