I guess I'm too old--I did not "get" it. However, judging from the fact that my nine-year-old begged and begged for it, but has not played with it since December 25, I don't think he "gets" it either! Don't waste your money on this one...

I wish they had these when I was a kid! My seven year old son and his friends have a blast pretending they're spies. Best of all it gets them using their imagination, and helps them with their typing/spelling skills as well! Good quality product too.

My husband & I have been buying our Grandsons' Christmas presents through this website for the last few years now. We absolutely love it! And our oldest Grandson makes his Wish list so we can go in and see what it is he really wants...and buy it!! Sometimes we even have the gifts wrapped! And the quality has always been excellent. My son received these for a gift at Christmas. They work just fine but are hard to see through the eyepieces. The headset is somewhat hard to get adjusted so you can see the text in the eyepiece. Other than that, he loves them and loves being our little spy.

I think the item is good for ages 7-9. It requires knowing how to spell and having the ability to operate the lens and key pad. I think any age younger than that would find this product too difficult to use.

These are the coolest things! The kids can be in seperate areas of the house and can talk to each other on these communicators. It is also helping my 6 year old to spell better because she has to type on the keypad. Highly recommend this item! Have no bad things to say about it!
