5 of 5 Technology for the non-technical Saturday, February 07, 2009 A Customer from Concord, NH
Before I bought this, my wife would bug me all the time to load the photos on the PC. Now, she comes home and 10 mintues after turning the camera on, she can reveiw the pictures on the LCD TV via our media center extender.
This is probably the most useful product I have purchased. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Too Easy to Use Saturday, December 20, 2008 David from Los Angeles, CA
I followed the directions which were very easy to use and i had this product working in less than 5 minutes. The transfer of pictures automatically makes it so easy for my family to use, and removes the burden of downloading pictures from me. I recommend highly even for the casual photographer. 5 of 5 Works Great! Beware of used Eye-Fi cards. Thursday, December 18, 2008 A Customer from Seattle, WA
This card worked great out of the box and is my favorite new toy. It doesn't seem like a big deal to save the transfer time but it's huge. Now I can take a few pictures, immediately open up the laptop and see them in full size, and retake if needed. Quick turnaround shots for EBay are so much easier.
The company actually reads the online forums and has made some change to accomodate users. The biggest outstanding feature I saw was that each card needs a separate email for the online account. They say they are working on it. Another thing is that their Eye-Fi manager app, which displays in IE, records thumbnails of all your shots and you can't delete them so don't be taking any questionable photos! A small limitation is that it only works with real routers, not with ad-hoc networks, so you can't talk directly to your laptop.
Beware if you want to buy a used card. The old owner has to logon and release their card or you won't be able to use it!
The various models are a little confusing. I think you can upgrade most of the models to add online features but only the explore version gives you free geotagging forever. Other than that I think you can go cheap without too much thought. Was this review helpful?
