5 of 5 I love this thing! Monday, August 18, 2008 JFE from Encinitas, CA
Worked great for me. I have used it 6 different times, all photos are there on my hardrive, sorted by date and up online at Flikr. Coolest product I have seen in a while. Was this review helpful?

Let me start by saying I work on and troubleshoot computers and computer products for a living and when I saw this I had to have it. Having a new baby I figured this product was a godsend. NOT. I plugged it in, installed software off of the SD card as instructed, downloaded all of the updates configured my directory to have my pictures downloaded to, took a picture, and waited, and waited and waited and waited. The picture never transferred to my laptop. I followed the troubleshooting instructions which were useless. They said to plug the card into it's receiver directly into my pc. 10 minutes I waited when the 2 pictures I took arrived safely on my PC.
Don't waste your money. Was this review helpful?

This card is very limited. 1st of all is customer support, it's almost non-existant since the phones ring off the hook and no one answers after trying for days. E-mail support is 90% automated and will either reject your replies or tell you your ticket will be closed as RESOLVED if you do not reply. I got one callback from an e-mail then no other responses. You are stuck using a web site to configure your card if you have no internet access with EVERYTHING IN PLACE you can not. You can not say go to work, configure it to save to your hard drive at home then take it back home to use. Also if this web site goes down or once the maker goes out of business the card will be worthless other than just an expensive SD card. It was a good try but if you can I would say pass on buying this product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Eye-Fi Wireless Card Wednesday, January 09, 2008 Anne from Martin, SD
I purchased this after seeing it as one of the most popular Christmas gifts last season. IT IS GREAT! Easy to install and set up, and SO SO convenient to just have photos go directly to your computer and/or a photo website of your choice! Definitely saves time later! I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who loves to photograph! Was this review helpful?

I got the Eye-Fi card and was impressed at the ease of the setup. I figured out that it transfers the images to Eye-Fi's server, then to my photo sharing site, and, finally, to my PC.
I delayed posting this review, because uploaded photos went to my photo site, but did not arrive on my computer. The next day, they arrived intact.
Eye-Fi has even sent me a firmware release, which installed without a problem. The card did fail to connect on one occasion, but I reran the setup to sync the card with my wireless network and that fixed the problem.
This would seem like an unnecessary luxury, but I really like being able to take photos downstairs, wait a few minutes, go to work, and see my photos online without having to go upstairs to downloaded the photos manually to my PC or to my photo site. It's a lot like a remote control - you don't HAVE to have one, but it sure is handy. Was this review helpful?

I purchased 3 of these, they work well, no, they work great. As advertised, they send each picture either to the online service of choice, or just back to the PC (Macs in my case) that you choose.
I even have one in my Canon Dig Rebel via a compact flash adapter card and it works just fine.
HP Camera, Canon Dig SLR, Powershot a560 - all working well, the only issue I've seen was faster than normal battery drain on the a560 - probably a setting I can change there tho. I did see one issue on the Dig Rebel where I had to "reboot" the card (pop in and out) after erasing the photos on the card. otherwise flawless, great product. Was this review helpful?

Bought this along with the kodak Z812IS.
works great except while trying to shoot video; camera states that "memory card is too slow". video stops after about 20 sec. cannot return either!! this really bites. i guess i'll have to sell it on E-Bay or something. if you ONLY want to record Stills, then this is a good product; however, if you want to record videos, STAY AWAY from this card.
(Also, you can't return it for credit; only replacement) if it worked, it's keep it!! WTF?

This device works well to download data via wi-fi, but it's very slow to save camera pictures as I use the camera. Was this review helpful?

Does exactly what it says it does. The only quibble I have is that you need to leave the camera on 'til it completes its transfer, which means you may need to turn off or adjust the camera's power-saving features to ensure it doesn't switch itself off in the middle of a long transfer. But other than that, it's a great product. Was this review helpful?
