| | | "To This Day, They Remain Somewhere Among Us...Those People Responsible for November 22, 1963!" Features: DVD, Widescreen, Aspect Ratio 1.85:1, English, French, Subtitled Predecessor to Oliver Stone's JFK this film was one of the first to present an alternative to the Warren Report version of events. Mixing narriative segments with newsreel footage, the film tells the story of a group of powerful men who plot the assasination. First they must recruit and train a shooter, then frame Lee Harvey Oswald. A must-see for history buffs and conspiracy theorists, some credit this film with re-opening the debate about Kennedy's assasination. "...interesting, conspiracy-based Kennedy assassination stuff." | | Professional Reviews | Variety 9 of 10 The open lesion known as Watergate revealed a form of governmental-industrial syphilis, which in turn has made more plausible to millions the theory of an assassination conspiracy in 1963 against President John F. Kennedy. Executive Action, a part-fiction and documentary style film [from a story by Donald Freed and Mark Lane], dramatized with low key terror, is an emotional aftershock to the event...Burt Lancaster, Robert Ryan and Will Geer star as informed men of industry and government service who concluded that JFK must be eliminated. Lancaster is the overall project officer. James MacColl, a remarkable look alike to Lee Harvey Oswald, depicts the alleged Oswald frameup. Oscar Oncidi plays Jack Ruby, Oswald's own assassin who, per this story, is wired into the plot.
