Nice board, EVGA has out done themselves, who'd think it would be as good if not better than there video cards, booted right up, set it up in bios and it runs great, bios is easy to use, don't need a manual to work in it, it's a sturdy board, easy to install, the 2 PCIex works great, I'd recommend this board to everyone I talk too, just one con: sata cables buy cables, cause they go in hard, can break the tongue off, had to work it in slowly, but love this board, replaced my Asus board with this one and I'm very very happy, thanks buy.com

This board isn't the cheapest, and it certainly isn't the most expensive, but falls into the sweet spot in between. You aren't going to get three way SLI, and some of the more frivolous bells and whistles don't make an appearance (such as onboard WiFi and the like) but it has plenty of USB ports and connectors for front USB/Audio/Firewire. Bottom line - it's a rock solid board, I have it running SLI with two 8800GTS cards and an E6600 running stable at 3.1ghz with stock cooling.

This review is really compared to Gigabyte as these are the only two board manufacturers I use. I bought this board for the SLI ability because I DO NOT like ATI. They have given me so much grief over the years with all of their products so when it came time for me to build a dual video card system I couldn't go with the forever trusted Gigabyte (crossfire only). I only have 2 minor problems with this board. First, the SATA ports are parallel to the case making it HELL to plug cables in and then the release clips are at the bottom!! I haven't had to unplug a cable yet but I fear that day greatly. And second, there is only one USB header on the board. They give you a cool rear bracket with extra USB ports which would use up that one header but almost ALL cases have front USB ports as well which would use another header. I'm sure there is a work around for this but I don't need one with Gigabyte boards. Also, there are only 6 USB ports on the back, 8 with Gigabyte boards. Other than these 2 minor set backs I am very pleased with EVGA. I use their video cards as well and absolutely LOVE them.

I upgraded from an MSI board about half the price of this one, and it was certainly worth the money. My Q9300 is running at 3GHz (FSB 1600) with no problems. I suspect there is some more room for overclocking, but I wanted to keep the heat from my system down. I also got my 8GB of RAM to run at 1066MHz, which many people reported not being able to do on other boards. It comes with a good selection of cables, so you can save money there. The only problem I encountered was hooking up the SATA cables. If possible, try hooking them up before putting the board in your case. You can't beat EVGA's warranty either.

Pros: This board may not have some of the bells and whistles of the 790i boards. But price per performance is very good in my opinion. I have this board running with E7200 overclocked to 3.25Ghz. I did not push it beyond that. Overclocking was a breeze as well. I bought two of these boards to use in computers. I would recommend to anyone who is not stuck of tri or quad SLI or DDR3. Cons: Maybe having the SATA ports facing sideways was a nifty idea. But it did cause me pain to put my SATA cables in - especially in mid tower. No problem in full tower. The CPU molex pin caused me a bit of pain after putting the behemoth known as tuniq tower. Again, more of a mid tower pain then full tower.

This board has more overclocking features than any other board I ever owned. This is my second one bought. Has a lifetime Warranty! BEWARE Ordering it from buy.com will take more than advertised time to shipe and deliver product, If you need it fast like I did order it from the egg.

this board is really built well, and it looks really good. the bios are a little harder to get used to compared to the asus boards. this board does everything i require it to. except there is no ethernet bridge. other than that this board is really good and i recommend it to anyone that is a level 8 or above out of 10 on computer savvyness.
