1 of 5 received a broken product Tuesday, February 19, 2008
Alex from East Stroudsburg PA

I wish I was writing about the great performance I got from my motherboard, but sadly the product just didn't work. I spent 4 days of time, money, and mental anguish just to find out it was broken.

1 of 5 Is this board worth the Trouble? Sunday, February 10, 2008
wizard0726 from Raleigh, NC
The order went through quickly. The board was shipped with an older version of the EVGA 680i Firmware version "2.0.053.A1". The only thing that didn’t work on the first motherboard was my Graphics card because the First PCI Express Video slot would not detect it. Buy.com doesn’t offer replacement for this board so I had to pay to ship it back to EVGA for the RMA. I had to pay to upgrade the RMA process so they would send the replacement before I shipped the defective board. The Mainboard they shipped to me had the newest Bios Version "2.053.B2". The board would not recognize my Crucial Ballistix memory modules when they were both installed. The board would only recognize one 1GB module in DIMM slot 4 farthest from the CPU. I got the following POST errors. C1, CO. Even when the system was booted into Windows with only one 1GB DIMM the computer would randomly lock up. After multiple times of clearing my CMOS and moving Hardware around the system board EVGA support told me that my RAM was bad and possibly also my Video Card. At this point I put everything back onto the first Mainboard where everything worked fine except for the main PCIExpress slot. The performance of the board with the RAM and CPU installed has been awesome. I just wish the first PCI Express slot was functional incase I wasted to use the SLI functionality. In my case there has been a huge lack of support for EVGA's software/firmware. I hope this is an isolated case. I will think twice before buying another EVGA Motherboard.

5 of 5 Dont buy Thursday, January 31, 2008
Josh from San Diego, CA
So I am happy with the product. It is the A1 version of the board so it comes with all the goodies. Clocks my quad effortlessly. make sure you get SLi-ram to get 1066Mhz out of it. Downside. I bought this board 5 days before the price dropped on the Evga 780i's. Now they are going for 259.99, the same price i payed for this board. And NOW this board dropped that same $50.00 Other than that its a good product.

5 of 5 Upgrade Tuesday, January 29, 2008
A Customer from MN
I like this motherboard because it has SLI and both PCIe run at x16. This motherboard also comes with an optional fan for the chipset, which is a plus if your thinking of overclocking. The mobo is very stable. It worked like a charm at first boot with my Q6600. ps. buy.com was awesome with prompt shipping.

5 of 5 F A N T A S T I C Friday, November 30, 2007
Vanwalle from NJ
Great motherboard. Purchased to build a gaming system for a good friend. I wanted the SLI feature for future needs if/when was needed. I combined this board with an NVIDIA 8600 video card and 2 gig RAM (Crucial Balistix from BUY.COM combo as well is nice). Overclocking works very well. Watch your cooling needs closely. Friend is quite tickled by the speed of this thing.

5 of 5 Powerful Platform Thursday, November 29, 2007
yuppie1550 from Austin, TX
The 680i SLI is the best eVGA offers. This platform can be easily overclocked and is rock solid stable. I haven't implemented SLI yet but this looks promising. Awesome Mobo.

4 of 5 Image is Misleading (but great overall) Wednesday, October 10, 2007
JFD from Shirley, Ma
Great board, but I feel I was mislead. The image that Buy.com uses for this board is actually for the more expensive version. Don't get me wrong the M/B is the same as the difference lies in the included accessories. This board only includes Floppy Cable, IDE Cable, two Serial ATA cables, chipset fan and a quick start guide. The image that is portrayed is for the model that includes the above mentioned items plus 4 additional Serial ATA cables a full manual, serial, USB and Firewire brackets for the headers on the board. So, if you need or expect these additional accessories (like I did) you'll be disappointed when you open the box.

5 of 5 Great board so far ... Thursday, July 26, 2007
A Customer from Nipomo,CA
After reading mixed reviews on the net I was a little concerned before buying this board. So far it has been running for about a month with no problems and if something does go wrong EVGA has a great warranty. The board is a great for OC’ing and the layout is really good with nothing in the way for my GTX8800’s. If you want the most current tech then give it a try!

4 of 5 OK MB Thursday, July 19, 2007
A Customer from CINCINNATI, OH
THIS MB WORKS OK BUT IS VERY TOUCHY AT THE LIMITS. BE PREPARED TO SPEND LOTS OF TIME TESTING. IT IS VERY SENSITIVE TO ANY HARDWARE CHANGES AND NEEDS TO BE RESET AT EVERY STAGE. IF YOU HAVE THE TIME TO DO THIS GREAT BUT I JUST GOT TIRED OF IT. OH, AND SET IT UP OUTSIDE OF THE BOX FOR TESTING CAUSE IT MAKES THE RESETING AND CHANGES MUCH EASIER. AND GET A GOOD POWER SUPPLY.
