4 of 5 excellent headset Tuesday, May 19, 2009
Steve from Middletown, Ca

The microphone and earpiece sound quality is excellent, and it really does cut out the background noise. If you place it in your ear properly, it will stay in place well enough (for the microphone to be right by your mouth, where it needs to be for the person you are talking to to be able to hear you). But etymotic should add a little piece that hooks under the ear to hold it in place, and make the boom 1/4 inch longer to get the microphone right in front of your mouth, in which case it would be a perfect headset. However, I would definitely still recommend this at set as it is.

5 of 5 Great headset Saturday, October 04, 2008
WLB from Hendersonville, NC
Lightweight, variety of earpieces lets you choose one that's comfortable for extended use, excellent audio quality for both the microphone and the earpiece. Both the mic and earpiece sound a lot better than any Bluetooth headset I've heard. No batteries or other hassles like Bluetooth and the battery in your phone lasts noticeably longer than when using Bluetooth. The mic is very directional and does an excellent good job of keeping out ambient noise. When these headsets are used on both ends of a good cell connection, the sound quality is as good as any landline. But the mic's directionality also makes it only work well when it's positioned close to your mouth. The only drawback to this headset, as another review noted, is the earpiece can rotate in your ear if you don't get it seated just right. If the earpiece rotates in your ear, the mic gets out of position, causing the other party to have trouble hearing you.

4 of 5 Great Sound, But ... Tuesday, September 25, 2007
A Customer from Chicago, IL
I have tried so many stubby Blue Tooth head sets that make me sound like I am talking from the bottom of a well and I can't hear the other person unless I am in a quiet room. This one works. I use it in my car which is kind of noisy because there is a sunroof right over my head. I can hear others cleary & people I call tell me they can hear me clearly and cannot tell I am using a headset or that I am in a car. Just wish they had an optional over-the-ear attachment because it is easy for it to rotate slightly in my ear when I am moving and doing somethoing (which is why I use a headset) and then the mic winds up at my chin, people can't hear me, and I have to readjust it. Kind of annoying and seems like it would be simple for Etymotic to fix. But I love the sound quality.
