Having tried several other laptop computer stands which were difficult and awkward at best I finally researched this ERGOTRON and ordered one. It exceeded all expectations of being versatile, useful, with ease of operation. That is why I purchased this second ERGOTRON. Thank you for this excellent product. I have asked myself many times why I waited so long to solve this important way to use my laptop as a desktop. Furthermore, it works very well with my projector, too. Was this review helpful?

Sit up straight and stop hunching over your laptop with this articulated laptop stand.
After using my first laptop for a couple of weeks, my neck and shoulders were so stressed, I reverted to using my 650 watt gaming tower just to check my email and surf the net, which kind of negated the "going green" justification (one of many) I used to rationalize buying a $1200 laptop.
However, there are drawbacks. This is too bulky to be a portable device. Use it at home or at a dedicated workstation. Also, using the laptop keyboard and touch pad are pretty much out of the question because the stand wobbles too much. It holds the laptop securely enough, but the hinge point is so narrow, there is no way to keep the thing still when poking at the keyboard. Use an external keyboard and mouse. Well built, and very flexible. Full control of notebook position in virtually every direction. I matched it up with the Ergotron Neo-Flex LCD monitor stand and it's a great combination for my home office. Makes it very easy line line up my notebook screen with the adjacent second LCD monitor screen. Was this review helpful?
