4 of 5 An okay Quad stand Saturday, January 17, 2009

I own both the Quad and Dual stands for a stock trading setup. I purchased a Quad stand because it was cheaper than getting two Dual stands. I'm happy with the Quad stand but it does has some limitations. The pivot of the screen is FIXED to a 4 degree tilt and can cause some discomfort for some users. If you have a 30" tall table, 18" tall chair, and are under 5'8", it maybe hard to see the top monitors. You either need to be at least over 6 feet tall or have an adjustable high chair to compensate. If you need more flexibility in the monitor pivot, consider purchasing the DUAL stand because they can pivot almost 180 degrees and have better constructed hinges and mounting brackets as compared to the Quad stand. The Quad stand is okay but it's as if Ergotron decided to save money on this model by using cheap fixed mounts. Was this review helpful?

I set this up with four 24in lcd's and it works perfectly. there is still al little room available around each, and they were very easy to move right/left and up/down. the only issue i have is that sometimes the lcds rotate a little clockwise or couterclockwise depending on which side they are on, and it's pretty hard to make them all exactly level with eachother. not a big deal though.
