I really like this clock. The time and temp are projected on to the ceiling and I really like the way it looks. The only negative I have to mention is that the clock is way too BRIGHT. To be more specific, the face of the base unit itself has an LED display with a backlight. This backlight is blue. And believe me when I say that it shines like a beacon in the night. You could guide ships in to port with this thing. Its great if you like some ambient light in the bedroom when you sleep. I'm not one of those. Right now I'm dealing with it the best I can because I really like this clock. It would be awesome of the folks could offer a dimmer for this backlight. Other than that, great product. I bought this clock a couple of weeks ago. The projected time varies frequently and it is independent of the regular display. Time format changes form 12 hr to 24 hr and temperature changes from F to C automatically. I tried resetting and unplugging and it did not help. In the middle of the night, I have to check both displays to make sure the time is right. I am requesting for a replacement from buy.com. It looks like I got a defective piece. I bought this clock thinking that the numbers lit up and it didn't have a back light because of the photograph. Well, the numbers don't light up and the screen is backlit. I've bought a couple of clocks lately that have the back light and it is just way to bright and it bothers you when you are trying to sleep. This one is backlit with black numbers, but the picture doesn't make it seem that way. When you read the specs, yep, it even says that the numbers are black. Good clock if a bright light doesn't bother you. Was this review helpful?

We love this atomic clock and it has great features! My wife can view the laser projection with ease from bed without her glasses in the middle of the night. The only problems we have experienced, that we would change, is that sometimes the clock and the projection are different for a little while and the clock face can be too bright and I haven't found a way to dim it down. The actual face is reversed of the picture. Bright blue background and black numbers. Other than that, great product! Was this review helpful?

The only problem I have is the display is blue background with dark numbers, and is sometimes hard to read for certain angles. The Projection and temperature are great, and the atomic setting is wonderful! Was this review helpful?
