I am a musician and my ears are rather acute to sound quality. While I appreciate the portability of MP3 players, an MP3 is a sound file that has been compressed (or made smaller) and some of the sound quality becomes lost as a result. While many MP3 players have a built-in EQ, it will seldom improve the overall sound quality. Enter the Koss EQ-50. This unit is powered by two AA batteries and a sliding on/off switch that is located on the right side. With just 3 bands of sliding EQ for lows/mids/highs, the Koss is quite adequate for providing the boosting or cutting that will bring out the best in your music. I bought it and I love it. Add to this a set of the awesome-sounding Sennheiser PX-200 folding headphones and you will be AMAZED at the difference. I only recommend products that I believe in...and the Koss/Sennheiser combination has me 110% sold!!!!
