5 of 5 Excellent printer but noisy and shaky. Tuesday, August 19, 2008 Jami from Indianapolis, IN
This is a great printer for normal or photo printing needs. The only complaint I would have is that it is quite noisy and shakes quite a bit. Besides that it is a great value and very easy to use. The LCD screen and multiple card readers make it a dream for photo editing and printing. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Does what I need it to do! Thursday, December 13, 2007 rocketdan_1 from Miami, Fl.
I purchased this printer for the sole purpose of printing directly on discs. With the rebate from Epson, the price of this baby was too good to pass up. Setup and installation were a breeze if you've done this before. And even if you are a noob, the setup guide was right on the money. This printer includes a disc printing utility but I chose to use Acoustica CD Label Maker. I was a little confused initially when I attempted my first print. The printer kept saying I had the wrong media inserted but after a little searching through all the dialog boxes, I realized that there were TWO places where I had to specify "disc print".
After that hiccup, everything else went perfect. The quality of the print was excellent, it was perfectly centered and I could even choose between discs with printable hubs or without. Additionally, Buy.com's delivery was above expectations. I purchased the printer on a Thursday opting for ground delivery and I received it on Tuesday. All in all, my experience with this product and with Buy.com has been five stars.

5 of 5 Another great Epson printer. Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Robin Tadlock from Healdton, OK
I have owned several Epson printers through the years and stil have a working Stylus Photo 870. I bought the Stylus R380 because I wanted to print CDs. It does a beautiful job of this and the software is easy to understand and use. Printing pictures from a memory card is a snap since there are card slots in the front of the printer. The color is gorgeous and the prints are said to last as long as 200 years. I don't think I'll be around to verify this, but I love the printer because it is an all-around great product. 4 of 5 Epson's Printer Friday, September 28, 2007 Eazy-G from Rome, Ga
I'm doing good with this new printer. I love the features and it's simplicity, but I cant agree on the Hi Def printing results. When I printed a scenic picture out, I could see the lines in it and color offsetting. Though it does a good job, I wouldnt say it has the Hi Def results, but hey that was the first and only pic i printed so I really can't call it. But the CD printing is great, that's the only reason I bought it. Oh yeah, ink runs fast too. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Epson & Buy.com - A good combination Wednesday, July 04, 2007 John from Perryville, KY
I have been quite pleased with this Epson printer for the period of time I've had it. The ease of setup and simplicity of operation make this a pleasurable printer to own. The quality of photo prints it makes is superb. As a working pro, I purchased it primarily for printing on CDs & DVDs. It joins its big brother the Epson R2400 on my work desk. The act of purchasing and dealing with Buy.Com continues to be a pleasure. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good printer if it works... Monday, July 02, 2007 PDC from Tustin, CA
The printer is great. The print quality is amazing. The photos it prints are clear, comparable to a photo lab print.
BUT
I received two units with issues.
Unit 1: The print carriage made a squealing sound on startup. It sounded like the unit needed lubrication. On a well used printer, that would be OK. On a new out of the box printer, not acceptable.
EPSON SUPPORT QUICK AND RESPONSIVE - Positive experience there.
Epson volunteered to do an overnight replacement.
2. Received replacement printer. This was probably a refurb. On startup, the printer screen said to install the print cartridges. Pushed "OK" and the printer is hung up. No worky.
Epson is going to replace this second unit. OK, but they also want to put a second hold on my credit card until I return the second unit.
SUMMARY - Great printer, I like the CD print feature, and the big color screen. My daughter loves printing photos for her friends. Two failed units.

5 of 5 Epson R380 Photo Printer Wednesday, June 27, 2007 fixindad from Amityville, NY
It prints beautiful photographs, but it is so-so on text. I expected this since it is a photo printer. Overall, for the price I paid ($79 using a Buy.com 7% coupon), it can't be beat. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 CHEAP & EASY Saturday, March 24, 2007 catcher4610 from NORTH FORT MYERS, FLORIDA
MY HUSBAND BOUGHT ME THE EPSON PICTURE MATE FOR CHRISTAMS 2006, IT WAS NICE AND HANDY, BUT I REALLY SOMETHING A LITTLE FASTER. THE EPSON ULTRA HI-DEF PRINTER IS JUST THAT. IT IS QUICK NO MATTER WHAT SIZE PICTURES YOU ARE PRINTING. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT IT IS A LITTLE BIT BULKY TO MOVE AROUND UNLIKE THE PICTURE MATE. BUT OVERALL THIS PRINTER IS WELL WORTH IT. GOOD JOB EPSON. Was this review helpful?
