5 of 5 PLUG AND PLAY Saturday, December 18, 2004
    Betty from Johnson Valley, California

I do graphics and photo printing from a Mac. Got this printer about 6 months ago. Plugged it in, clicked on ColorSync in the the print dialog box, got a perfect, and I mean perfect, print the first try. Never had anything to do with computers be so trouble-free. I get excellent results on every paper I have tried. Epson Photo Quality Inkjet Paper and Premium Photo Paper are the very best. I never thought I would see digital printing look so good on a machine I could afford.

    5 of 5 Great disposable printer...Expensive Ink!!!!!!!!!! Saturday, November 06, 2004
    CT from New Orleans, LA
I love Epson printers and the quality of the output. I bought this printer to replace an older Epson Photo EX. The R200 has beautiful output but hold on to something when you get ready to replace the ink. I bought replacement inks the total with tax came to $xx.xx! Also after replacing one, and having it recycle and prime another one went dry and I replaced it (again it recycles and primes). After doing this twice I checked the level of the black ink and it is approximately 85-90% and I haven't printed anything yet! Bottomline, try to change all the inks at the same time since the priming process eats ink. Better yet buy a new printer and donate the old one to Goodwill.

5 of 5 Great little photo and CD printer Tuesday, October 19, 2004
    Nick from Mendocino California
I bought this only for printing on CDs and DVDs, and it does that very well, although a bit slowly for production runs. I was surprised to find that it also prints absolutely beautiful photos, including borderless 4x6 prints that you can't tell apart from photolab prints, except maybe they're better! The printer also comes with neat Epson Print CD software that makes it easy to design professional looking CD labels. The only drawback for me is the cost of replacing the 6 independent ink cartridges, which costs about the same as getting a whole new printer! How can that be? I don't know but it's true. Fortunately the ink goes a long way on printing CDs as long as you don't print a full color background over the whole disk. I've printed over 300 CDs on the first set of carts.

5 of 5 This Printer Rocks!!!! Monday, October 18, 2004
    A Customer from Ferndale, WA
For the money, you could not possibly find a more versatile printer with this good of print quality. Just try and find another printer that will print directly to inkjet printable cd's or dvd's - won't happen. They look like they've been silk-screened. The photo quality printing on the film looks great too. I had an Alps md-5000 dye-sub printer and this has as good if not better quality and i originally paid over $500 for that printer. I highly recommend this one to anyone wanting great quality printing on a budget.

5 of 5 Custom CD art by YOU! Saturday, October 09, 2004
    Avsig from Punta Gorda, Florida
Easily set up. Easily installed. Had the first custom CD printed within 15 minutes of opening the box. The built in templates are adequate and making your own cover art using your own graphics are as easy as doing a simple copy/paste or edit/insert. How can you beat a printer like this for under $100?? The color is very nice and the speed of the CD print is more than adequate. Takes 24 hours to make sure the ink is dried on the disk, but that's no big deal unless you're really in a hurry.

5 of 5 fantastic photo printer for less than $90 Thursday, September 30, 2004
    Kent Lee from Chicago, IL
Inkjet photo printing technology has advanced so far in such little time. The output from these printers rival that of photo labs. Now, you can be your own photo lab technician and adjust the print to your liking and not the whim of the photo tech. I was delighted with the quality of these prints. I highly recommend using higher grade paper such as the excellent papers from Ilford and Legion. Epson's brand was disappointing somewhat. This printer is slower than other models but who actually sits there waiting and watching the printing. Be sure to use the right ICC profiles provided by the paper makers for optimal results.

    5 of 5 Great Printer for CD / DVD's Wednesday, September 01, 2004
    Rjay from Beaufort, SC
When we first tried the printer for CD /DVD printing, it failed. We were ready to send it back, when we noticed a "slot" in the rear of the unit. As it turned out, this is where the tray extends. The problem was we had placed the unit in an enclosed shelf, and it was blocking the CD tray from extending out the rear... I just thought I would save a few people from this senerio, as there is no warning about this in the instructions. The CD /DVD printing is fantastic. Looks better than many store bought CD's. The enclosed software produces very professional results. Much better than labels. For the price, this printer pays for itself very quickly over labels. Page printing is good for an inkjet, colors are accurate. But DVD / CD printing is where the R-200 really shines. Great investment.
