The ink units for epson printers get smaller with each generation. The color ink for this printer will last for only about 20 pages! That is 20 pages of color print for 3 units of about $15 apiece- that is a rip off of major size. The picture quality is great. I would NOT purchase this printer again. Clearly, I will use non-Epson ink as much as possible. Was this review helpful?

Initially I was thrilled to have a nice photo printer with a decent scanner to boot. It printed slow but the quality was good. But that was until the ink ran out (after printing less than 20 full color pages--not high quality photos). When I buy a printer, I research the price of maintenance (inks...) and found replacement inks that were economical. Little did I know that Epson would reject all of them. Not only to I have to use Epson inks to keep this printer running (at a cost of $80 a pop to replace), once I put a non-Epson ink in the machine, it's almost impossible to re-set it and use. Also,the ink cannot be refilled to use the same cartridges more than once.
Now the printer won't work, the scanner won't work. Furthermore, if one ink is empty, the machine stops working. This machine is a big waste of time and money. Was this review helpful?

This all-in-one printer/copier/scanner is great! The setup is a breeze and the print speed/scan time is quick. My only gripe is that the USB cable to connect to the computer was not supplied, so before I could finish the setup I had to run to the nearest Best Buy and purchase a $35 cable. Since the printer isn't wireless it seems silly that they would sell it without the cable! Other than that I love it. It looks good and works seemlessly. Was this review helpful?
