We did not expect such high resolution and results for the V700 because we were misled on the price. It was such a low price we felt that if we got average results then we were satisfied.The results were outstanding. Our organization has 3 other Epson scanners, but the V700 is the best. We do a lot of slide scanning and the 12 position carrier can be loaded before it is placed on the scanner bed. The user can be loading one carrier while another is being scanned. This greatly increases throughput.
In comparison tests we found the V700 be faster overall than a dedicated slide scanner that used a rotary tray.
The negative mat allows odd size negatives to be cropped and scanned with ease.
