With a new stylish design, the Epson Perfection V350 Photo allows easy scanning of photos, film, documents, and even 3D objects. The Epson Perfection V350 Photo boasts a unique Automatic Film Loader that flips out of the top lid, allowing you feed a strip of 35mm film into the scanner. The Perfection V350 Photo also provides maximum resolution of 4800 x 9600 dpi, the same resolution that many professional photographers use for scanning their films and negatives. The sleek, slim design has a flat scanning area of 8.5 inches x 11.7 inches, and can be used in either the portrait or landscape mode. The high-rise lid opens to a full 180 degrees for scanning large and bulky items. You can even scan three-dimensional items up to approximately one inch thick with the lid closed.

4 of 5 Very good for slides 5/1/2008
Dave from Rockledge, FL
First off, shipping was very quick. Nice job, Buy.com.
Spent the first evening with the V350 scanning some old family slides. The quality of the scans was great, although I could not find a way to increase optical resolution beyond 1200 dpi (this was sufficient, however). It's pretty slow (several minutes per slide) but if you have a decent PC you can do other things while the slides are scanning.
I dropped the "ease of use" score because of issues with driver installation. The installation program attempts to write it's files to a temp directory which is write-protected, and thus the installation fails. Had to get on the web and locate the solution before I could use the scanner. This was not covered in Epson's FAQs.

This is the first scanner I have purchased. I am archiving a few hundred old photos. So far the results have been great and the ease of use have been a pleasant surprise. Can't beat the price.

4.7 of 5 vast improvement over my old scanner 4/28/2007
from Chicago, IL
The Epson 350v scanner gives me more desk space, I can now scan 35 mm slides which are back-lit from a source in the scanner cover, you can customize your scan settings or use the built in defaults...very nice.

5 of 5 If you have negatives and slides this thinig is gr 4/18/2007
from Appleton, WI
I have a lot of old negatives and slides that I want to convert to digial. The negative loader on this thing is great! Just feed the negative in and it does the rest. Plus the resulting scanned image is outstanding! It only scans 2 slides at a time. I wish that was 4 like the V100.

5 of 5 Great Product at a Better Price 4/11/2007
Larry Wishon from Eureka Springs, AR.
I was researching online for a new scanner and for the price and features, I had settled on this particular model by Epson. Buy.com had the best deal of all the online stores I visited. They were $30.00 cheaper than Amazon, plus offered free shipping. Could not pass that up. It arrived in a very timely fashion, and I am totally pleased, so far.

4.7 of 5 Super Photo and Slide scanner 3/27/2007
from Bethesda, Maryland
It works with Windows Vista. It does a great job scanning slides and photos as well as other material. For example, 35mm film strips. It is necessary to read the instructions carefully. The slide holder has detents that are not described in the instructions.-- A bit slow, but, considering the result, worth the wait.I have tried to scan my slides on other scanners without success!.This one does a very good job.It does a nice job on fixing the results, i.e. dust removal, exposure correction etc.I miss the OCR program I had with my old scanner. The performance and versatilty are super! Kim.:::

3.7 of 5 Perfection- Not Quite 3/13/2007
from Castle Rock,WA
Got this photo scanner and it scans good, though slow. I'd be helpful if it came with an instruction book so as to know how to use the slide/ negative feature. The negative feeder doesn't want to feed well or eject back out when done scanning, had to open up turn a knob inside and manually eject negative strips.Four external buttons on the outside to push and they only tell you of what one is for and that would be the basic scan button. Will need to do research through the install disc to figure this item all out, don't like wasting my time this way.

4.7 of 5 Great product for the price 2/12/2007
from Chubbuck, Idaho
I have just scanned pictures and haven't done any negatives yet. I think that this is a great scanner compared to my old HP scanner that was 12 years old. I would highly recommend this scanner for anyone looking to upgrade. Very easy to use and I like to way the top opens at the side.

4.7 of 5 super scans! 12/19/2006
from New Bern, NC
Once I figured out how to make my computer "see" the scanner, the scans are spectacular! I've been using it to archive 10 year old African slides and the colors and resolution is amazing. I did have to contact Tech Support: couldn't figure out how to shut the scanner off. Tricky little devil can't be shut off---it automatically powers down..something that should have been mentioned in the instructions.
