Editor's Note
Bruce Lee was immortalized in his films as a martial arts master and first-class entertainer. ENTER THE DRAGON was the first martial arts film that American audiences had witnessed, and was actually produced in both Hong Kong and Hollywood. Interestingly, ENTER THE DRAGON also set the stage for non-traditional, culturally specific narratives to make their way into Hollywood.Bruce Lee plays a kung fu master recruited by a foreign government to infiltrate the island of a megalomaniac martial artist named Han. Han's bodyguard is also found to have killed Lee's sister, giving Lee a personal vendetta to fight for. The Hall of Mirrors sequence towards the end of the film is now famous, as are Lee's incredibly gymnastic martial arts abilities. This trend-setting film holds up as an entertaining, engaging action movie, more than 30 years later.

One of the greatest martial arts films ever made, this is what set the trend. Bruce Lee gives a masterful performance as, well, Mr. Lee, a new recruit for the British Services. He infiltrates a drug operation by accepting an invitation to a tournament of top fighters around the world. Paired up with Jim Kelly and John Saxon, they kick mondo butt. The best chinese villain you love to hate, Bolo Cheung plays the right hand man of Mr. Hahn, the host of the tournament. My only gripe, why do they always have to kill the brother off? Especially when John Saxon was the worst fighter on the island! A classic and a must have for any collection. Was this review helpful?

The Movie
I am a big fan of Bruce Lee, even though there's only a handful of movies he did.
Even though Enter the Dragon isn't my favorite Bruce Lee movie.
It is one of his greatest.
Just look at madness of his Jeet Kune Do.
If you have seen many Bruce Lee movies, you realize he inproves on his martial arts in every film.
The way he swings his nunchucks, the forst two films (Way of Dragon, Fist of Fury) he blink when he swings it.
But in Enter the Dragon, he swings his nunchuck with no problem, he doesnt blink at all

The DVD
This is a great DVD, first it has a original opening.
Interviews with his wife Linda Lee, even more stuff about Bruce Lee.
I mean a person like Bruce Lee, you would want to know how he is really like.
And...unsuprisingly he is the person he plays in all his movies.
The picture quality is extremely good!!
NOT A SCRATH, its clean, it looks more like a modern movie than an old movie.(the only movie that has better DvD quality is Se7en, by the way that movie is a MUST have too.)
Its a VERY good DvD.

Is this worth buying??
Yes, definalty a Buy!!
This is an English film, so it is intended to be in English.
Bruce Lee has his oringal voice.
No more stupid steryotypical Chinese accent dubbing, thank God.

This is one heck of a Bruce Lee flick!!
To say that this movie has great action is like saying that Scooby Doo doesn't get enough Scooby snacks!! To watch Bruce Lee kick everyone around like dept store mannequins is a treat. You see great shots in slow motion and his intensity really comes through the camera's eye. You even get to see the master break Jackie Chan's neck. Lots of imitators, but only one true Bruce Lee. All scenes choreagraphed to perfection. Show your kids that before Jackie, Jet Li and Van Damage there was the great one. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Just turn the disk over Monday, October 11, 1999 BK from
All the things that they said that are in there is. You just have to turn over the disk. It is a two-sided DVD so the documentaries are on the other side. I think that this is a great Bruce Lee movie and I would recommend it to anyone who likes martial arts. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Warner Brothers Ripoff Saturday, September 11, 1999 Scott Denny from Runnemede,New Jersey
Do not buy the dvd Special Edition,Warner brothers lists on the outside that they include,3 documentarys, including one on Bruce in his own words and none of them are there the only thing here is the audio commentary, and linds caldwell,s opening remarks.what a shame there is no agency to control and make sure that when you put something on you label of a package on a dvd as included herein that it is actually there.Skip this DVD.
