Author Bio
Kaye Gibbons
Gibbons grew up in North Carolina; her father was an alcoholic, her mother a suicide. She graduated from the University of North Carolina. Her first novel, ELLEN FOSTER, was published in 1987; her first bestseller was CHARMS FOR THE EASY LIFE (1993). Gibbons is part of the "Southern Renaissance" in American fiction.
