5 of 5 nice clock, the price is right Wednesday, September 20, 2006 buyer from Schaumburg
The clock looks really nice, specially if you do not get too close. The case is brushed metal, and looks good. There is that normal, cheap, black plastic on the back, and the metal itself has a couple of rough spots, but what do you expect for that price... The ascending alarm starts a bit too loud for my taste, but I got used to it after a couple of days. As with any analog clock, you need to find out how to set the alarm hand to get it to go off at the right time (in my case it goes off 10-15 minutes later than it should, looking at the position of the hand). One more thing - when you push in the button on the top to light the dial, it makes a click - not the best thing if you need to check time in the middle of the night.
Do not get me wrong - I like the clock. It has an old fashioned look, with numbers looking a bit art deco. It is not perfect, but for this price it is an excellent buy. Yes, you can go for a big name clock, and pay 10x this price. But why? Was this review helpful?
