Filmed live in one of the southern hemisphere's most vibrant, colorful cities--Rio de Janiero--ELETRACUSTICO is a beautifully shot concert starring the world-renowned musician, Gilberto Gil. The Brazilian singer-songwriter, a highly proficient multi-instrumentalist and innovator in his field, fused modern rock structures with traditional Brazilian rhythms to help pioneer the tropicalismo movement. At this spectacular performance, which serves as a sort of homecoming for Gil, who had not recorded music in three years, the artist performs a diverse set of tunes, from sentimental world music favorites like "Cambalanche," to several of his own greatest hits.
