A textbook for an introductory course for students who need a working knowledge of statistics but do not have a strong mathematical background. Johnson and Kuby (both Monroe Community College) suggest at least one semester of college mathematics for students who have not completed intermediate algebra. They strive to present the concepts and methods in a context familiar and useful to students, and focus on using computers and interpreting the outcome. The CD contains data sets, concept links, short videos, longer tutorials, and lectures for lecture presentation or notes.
