5 of 5 Best solution for the price Monday, December 22, 2008 A Customer from Weston, CT
Moved into a new home and experienced signal issues, where there were none in the old house. My small linksys router had the connection for an external antenna so I figured I'd give it a try before looking at [much] more expensive options. To my delight, as soon as I plugged in the antenna/booster, my signal went from poor to good/excellent.
At this price, you can't affort NOT to try this first, before exploring other options. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product Wednesday, April 02, 2008 A Customer from cincinnati, oh
I connected this booster up to my Dlink router and noticed an immediate 25% improvement speed (from 36 to 48 out of 54 max) and a 50% improvement in signal strength. I had a previous 7db antenna that was more professional looking that worked only half as good as these babies. I'm ordering two more for the house. I took them off my router just to retest and sure enough speed and signal strength went down. In a three story house with router in the basement--you need all the boost you can get. And what a price! Of course you could make one of these out of a coat hanger if you had more time and less money. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 It is practically an atenuator Sunday, February 24, 2008 liv from Newark NJ
The net works better without this "booster".
I don't know if it is this particular one or all of them.
I bought for the same price a 7dB antenna, which rocks.
