I have used this item thoroughly for over a week now and have found that it does in fact work very well in most situations. It does not supply enough power to operate and charge a laptop at the same time. The little red power indicator will blink if you try to use your laptop while it is plugged in. However, you can turn your laptop off or put it in standby and actually charge it. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the power supply in the car (12V battery) or the actual device so I gave it a 4 for performance. Every other electronic device (ipod, mobile phone, internet tablet, GPS) charged perfectly. this type of device is indispensable. Was this review helpful?

This product is nice if you have a A/C cell phone charger to plug in but the product is not powerful enough to charge or power a laptop so beware. I don't remember reading this info in the specs either, so if you are reading this you are smart to always read the reviews :) Was this review helpful?
