5 of 5 Works Great Tuesday, June 02, 2009
A Customer from Omaha, NE

Installed the card, powered up my PC, logged in, inserted a flash drive and it worked great. Didn't need to disable my on-board USB, or load any drivers. Running WinXP SP3 on a Dell Dimension 4100, 1ghz CPU, 512mg memory.

5 of 5 Inexpensive and works perfectly Friday, March 27, 2009
A customer from Branchburg, NJ
I bought a pair of these to update two Dell desktops that lacked USB 2.0 ports. They were a cinch to install and Windows XP recognized each immediately. They're in for a couple of months without any problems.

5 of 5 Works Fine... Just 1 Installation Note... Sunday, March 22, 2009
Chris from Chicago, IL
This product is working just fine for me. The only thing I found was that using it on a motherboard with a built-in Via USB controller, I had to disable the on-board USB, which makes sense, but also, it did not work in the PCI slot I initially put it in. After troubleshooting for a couple hours, I found that I had to put it in a different PCI slot to make it work, even though the on-board USB was disabled.

Needed some more usb 2.0 ports and this worked out perfectly. Infact the driver disk also fixed some issues I had with another product. Can't beat it for the price.

5 of 5 Great Price, Works Great Monday, February 16, 2009
CplTru from San Antonio Texas
Easy to install, works great on Win 2K and Up. Still having some problems getting it to go on a Win 98 OS but that is something that not many ppl will have to deal with. Once i can get that Win 98 Machine hooked up to the net i am sure i will get it up and running.

5 of 5 Good Bang for the Buck Sunday, February 01, 2009
Kevin from Cheektowaga, NY
This card was installed into a 5+ yr old PC, which Motherboard only had USB 1.1 onboard. Installation was simple. No drivers/SW were required when using Windows 2000 Pro with the latest serive pack. The performance of the card is good. Both Read and Write transfer rates were greater than 10MB/sec. I would imagine higher transfer rates could be achieved but the weak processor and old hard drive were the limiting factors.

5 of 5 Plug-in and go! Wednesday, December 17, 2008
A Customer from Vermont
It really cannot be any easier. Allowed my older machine with USB 1.1 exclusively to launch into the USB 2.0 world. No drivers off the CD were needed (Windows 2000 had all what the card needed).

5 of 5 Just What I Needed Friday, November 21, 2008
A Customer from Nederland, TX
This card installed installed and operated with no problems on my old 500 Mhz PC running Windows XP Home. It's great to get away from the "This device would operate much better on a USB 2.0 port - Oh wait - you don't have any. Loser!" prompt. (I'm paraphrasing but that's how I read it.) The price was suspiciously low but I took a chance and I have been very satisfied.

5 of 5 Inexpensive, Easy Install Thursday, October 09, 2008
A Customer from Palos Verdes, CA
One of the easiest installs that I've done. I found an open PCI slot, popped the card in, started the computer, drivers installed automatically (Window XP), and I was off to the races. Great value and delivers as promised. I would recommend this card over more expensive brands. There's really no need to spend more $ for something like this.

5 of 5 Cheap & easy to install! Wednesday, September 24, 2008
Jim from Rutherford NJ
Can't beat the price. Easy to install: just plug it into an open card slot and turn the PC on. Windows XP recognized it immediately and that was it. I'm using it for an external hard drive and it vastly improved the data transfer rate. Finally, shipping was fast and inexpensive. Couldn't ask for a better deal!!

5 of 5 Great price, good product, fast shipment Tuesday, September 09, 2008
A Customer from Amherst, NY
These parts are basically all the same, using VIA technology which is the prevalent vendor. Therefore, given the similarity of the product's technology, price becomes the primary factor of purchase determination.

5 of 5 Worked for me... Monday, September 08, 2008
A Customer from Tucson, Az
This PCI USB 2.0 Controller Card worked perfect in an older Pentium 3 / 700MHz with Win XP machine that I needed an USB 2.0 port to communicate with a large capacity external Seagate hard drive. I received the item from Eforcity in a well packed boxed, and in a very timely manner. As usual, the service from both Buy.com and Eforcity was excellent!

5 of 5 Cheap but very good card Monday, August 18, 2008
Ismail from Bethlehem, PA
Installed without problems. Windows XP default drivers are adequate. Have been using it for a month with no problems. I purchased this card when all my USB ports suddenly stopped working and I couldn't find a solution. I recommend it if you want a simple solution to your USB port problems.

5 of 5 It Works! Tuesday, June 17, 2008
A Customer from NY, NY
Added this Eforcity PCI USB 2.0 Controller Card to the last PCI slot in an old USB 1.1 laden computer that already also had a firewire add-in PCI card. It crashed every time I tried to use the card’s USB ports. Removed the firewire card and moved this USB card up from the bottom PCI slot. BINGO! Works perfectly. Could have been an IRQ conflict or the curse of the bottom PCI slot. Doesn’t matter because now I’m up and running at a very cheap price. Also, WinXP Home supplied the drivers for the card.

5 of 5 USB 2.0 - PCI AddOn Card Monday, March 17, 2008
A Customer from W. Milton Ohio
Bought to operate in an older PC with 1.1 only USB ports. MB only has PCI slots with VIA chip set. I've had problems with other cards working with the VIA chip set so thought I would chance using a VIA chip add on card. Popped in the card, powered up, XP added its drivers all as painless as expected. Good thing too that XP added the drivers. The card comes with a CD to install the card drivers. However, the Disc was destroyed in shipping!!! Something punched a hole in the packaging & box. The CD took the impact and saved the PC card!!! Since I didn't need the drivers for XP the install was completed. USB 2.0 is a great addition to flash drive speed. Shipping was very fast, 3-5 days as I recall. eMailed updates all as needed, this included postal numbers. (But not the name of the Gorilla that tried to destroy the PC card during shipping. ;)

5 of 5 A convenient way to go to USB 2.0 Friday, February 22, 2008
Ron from Pittsburgh, PA
Installation of the card was a snap: just your average PCI card installation (instructions included if you need them) and run the driver on CD. It's perfect for upgrading those PC's with USB 1.0 ports, but with extra PCI slots, to the faster USB 2.0 standard. On-board VIA card BIOS means robust performance. The extra inside port for a future card reader is a nice plus.
