The DiskGo USB hard drive is put together in a very impressive package. The aluminum case is extermely durable and the connecting cable of good quality. Used with drive imaging software I am able to backup the entire hard drive of my notebook computer. Using the supplied Backup4all software I can then backup My Documents as things change. I feel comfortable knowing that if there is every a failure of my Notebook hard disk the complete operating system and added software along with my datafiles can easily be restored. This is something which should seriously be considered by anyone who values their PC environment. Was this review helpful?

I like this hard drive. when I bought it, I was not sure what I was going to get. Here is what I found in the package:
- Sleek, slim, and good-looking aluminum covered hard-drive that you can carry in your pocket
- USB cable to connect to your pc
- Additional USB power adapter (I did not need it as drive worked using the USB cable itself)
- Case for hard drive with a small pocket inside to carry the cable
- Drive speed is okay. it is supposed to be 7200 RPM with data transfer spped up to 480 Mbps. But, it took about 10 minutes to copy about 3.3GB. So go figure yourself.
- Drive is hot swappable and plug-n-play. Provides ease of use whenever & wherever you want
- Software backup4all (I haven’t used much) seems to be a good addition (Don't install the software from CD. Instead go to its web site, download the latest edition for backup4all OTB edition and install that. You would need to use the product-key printed on the CD cover to register the product before you can use it)
Overall, I like this product and am very satisfied. I would have preferred the data transfer speed as promised. Was this review helpful?

I needed an external HD that would run off USB power so that I could use it with my laptop where ever I happened to be. This drive does exactly what I need it to do.
It came formatted as Fat32, but I work with very large files so I immediately reformatted to NTFS.
