Nokia today bolstered its Nokia Eseries portfolio of business devices with the introduction of the new Nokia E51 device. The slim and elegant Nokia E51 adds greater simplicity, faster access and tighter integration to key applications, while maintaining the smartphone capabilities and stylish design that customers have come to expect in a Nokia Eseries device. 5 of 5 I love this phone Saturday, August 16, 2008 joe.hayek from Atlanta
I bought this phone for my dad and I love it! I currently have a nokia n95 and I like it way more than my phone. It has 90% of the features of my N95 and it slimmer and the built quality is way better! The voip application works great as well as fring. ( skype, msn, voice calls to pc from phone, incoming skype, msn, yahoo calls, incoming skype in number calls, great quality, if you are traveling, you can call anywhere by adding credit on gizmo5 or truphone, you can buy a call in number or get a free U.S number from www.groovytel.com. The battery life is excellent! The processor is fast! I don't mind having this phone with me for the next 5 years! But! the 3G internet works in every single country except for the U.S because the it has different Mhz than the rest of the world! I don't mind this thought, I just connect to a hotspot for fast internet! The side buttons (shortcut buttons on the side of the phone!) are hard to press, but again you barely use them! Again! Great phone! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 GREAT PHONE!!! Friday, August 01, 2008 A Customer from Atlanta, Georgia
I have a nokia n95, but i wanted to buy a nokia for my dad so we can make fring calls or voip calls for free since everywhere we go we have free wifi, i've had the phone only for 6 hours and i love it! it has almost the same features as the nokia n95 but not as much in multimedia options, but other than that it has a great battery life, especially compared to the n95, the weight feels good, the buttons feel good, except for the side ones that are hard to press but you wont use them anyway, for 6 hours i've been making calls and no crashes or freezes, it's a great slim phone that packs a lot of features! 5 of 5 Great phone Tuesday, June 17, 2008 A Customer from Shreveport, LA
Ive had it for about two weeks and I like it a lot. What I like most are the WLAN and the excellent email client and web browser. It has the best looking screen Ive seen on a cell phone. Its ability to render and navigate Web pages that were not designed for tiny screens is very good. And it was able to import all of my contacts, calendar, and notes from my other Nokia phone very easily with the Switch program via buetooth. The phone is quick and responsive in comparison to others Ive used. Its the first Nokia phone Ive had that doesnt waste power by lighting up for no apparent reason. The size and the ratio of features to price is good.
What I dont like are: The metal trim thats easily dented and always covered with fingerprints. But it is stainless rather than chrome. The battery cover was a little too long and left a sharp edge that was uncomfortable on my fingers. But being stainless, I was able to file it down without inviting corrosion. The buttons on the sides are incredibly difficult to press. The range of the WLAN seems to be shorter than other devices that I have, perhaps by half. There doesnt seem to be a way to delete email from the phone without also deleting it from the server, and it took several days to figure out how to do that (messages are deleted when the Disconnect option is used and this option is only available during the brief intervals that the phone is actually connected). The email setup wizard doesnt cover all of the settings and many people will likely need help getting set up. I cant find a way to turn off the automatic keyboard lock or adjust its timers. From time to time, it displays little help messages or tips that are unreadable due to being black text on a dark blue background. And the manual is way too brief. There is no chart to explain what the many icons and graphics the phone uses signify, for example.

5 of 5 Awesome Monday, June 16, 2008 Mikael from Cleveland, OH
Perfect for my needs. I can call with it, I can hook it up against my GPS to get handsfree in the car with the bluetooth.
Love the format, very nice and thin, not to plastic.
I don't care about the camera of MP3 parts of a phone, I have them seperate. So I have no good opinion on thoose. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 The best phone I have ever owned. Saturday, June 14, 2008 PHAT LEE from HILLSBORO, OREGON
So glad I found this phone on Buy.com. I paid $262.99 with free 4-day shipping for it. It was and still is the best price on the net. Order was easy. So was tracking process. The phone is so good that my friends thought it is much more than 350 dollars. High quality stainless steel trim front and back...Awesome! Phone menu takes time to master. Reception with T-mobile and call quality sounds naturally. Did not regret buying it at all. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. Go get it at buy.com b4 price goes up. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Great phone! Monday, March 10, 2008 K from New York, NY
The phone is great! My previous phone was a Nokia N70 and the difference is incredible. The display is sharp. The texting is intuitive. Transferring contacts and other data from one phone to the other was painless. The form factor is just right, the buttons are perfect for texting and all common functions are easily accessible. The UI though similar is more advanced.
My only complaint is that I can not use a regular headphone with this phone.
It is a good alternative to the iPhone, if you are not too interested in the music functionality. The E51 has a rather decent music player as well.
As with mosr Nokias, it does what its supposed to do well.

By far the best ever made mobile phone. The features and possibilities are endless. Wireless VoIP, Gizmo Talk, Internet radio, GPS tracking, Global maps and many more fun stuff to list and explore on your own.
WiFi uses the battery heavily.
Downside, it gets warm behind the battery after 30min of usage. Was this review helpful?
