5 of 5 Solid product Monday, August 25, 2008 Xyrium from NJ
Though it isn't cheap, it offers fantastic sound, a thorough selection of inputs and outputs, and easy setup. Connection to it's PCI card is via a Cat V cable that has all pins on one side directly connected to their counterparts on the other (pin 1 to 1, 2 to 2, etc.). Therefore, you can buy a basic Cat V cable and assemble a longer or shorter one if necessary.
No intereference, noise level is zilch. Good box. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best interface for the money Sunday, March 30, 2008 haysuess from Fresno, CA
There is no better interface for the amount of money this one cost. You'd have to spend at LEAST $1,000 to start coming close to the quality of the preamps and A/D converters. The fact that I can simply buy the PCMCIA card later and take the dock with me on my laptop is nothing short of amazing. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 amazing sound Friday, June 08, 2007 michael from brooklyn new york
let me say the sound quality is superb i had a delta 1010 an audiophile firewire and they just dont sound as good as the emu 1616m. the 1616m is professional sounding excellent, my projects are sounding at least 20 percent better than the other soundcards and the effects that come with with the 1616m are good also now that the beta vista drivers are out theres no reason to hold off. im just amazed at the sound quality simply stunning Was this review helpful?
