I hooked up my Mac Mini to my HDTV and needed a way to get my DVI and digital audio converted to HDMI so i could run both over a single cable to my TV. This is pretty much the only device i could find to do this. It does exactly what i wanted with not trouble at all. Simple to use - plug and play... It seems a little over priced, but they've got the market cornered on this obscure item so if you want it, pay the price. My only concern is longevity as it never powers off. All you can do to turn it off is unplug it. The LEDS are always on - hope that means it will not be short lived. I guess we will find out.
