The Affinity 3100 gas grills feature an enclosed cart with stainless steel door and painted cart. All grills are constructed with a stainless steel lid insert and a stainless steel tube lid handle; a lid thermometer, and cast aluminum end caps. The cooking system, rated at 36,000 BTUs, includes 3 stainless steel burners and an electronic ignition. Cooking grates are made of 1/4" diameter stainless steel wire. The primary cooking area measures 418 sq. inches; the warming rack area measures 132 sq. inches, giving a total cooking area of 550 sq. inches. Other features include a stainless steel stamped warming rack, porcelain-enameled heat distribution plates, textured painted right and left hand side tables, and a stainless steel control panel. There are 4 heavy-duty casters (2 fixed, 2 swivels).

5 of 5 Nice unit - read carefully for assistance Wednesday, November 28, 2007

My first Ducane lasted 12 years. I bought the entry level version & the "upgrade" is much better than the original. The assembly directions are all graphical with no words to describe assembly. Make sure you study these closely because most of the parts are not identical. Pay close attention and you will not have any trouble. It took me about an hour to assemble and I do not consider myself handy. The unit easily heats to 650 degrees but you must use all three burners at once to achieve "high" heat. Research the vinal cover on eBay. I found one on eBay for 50% less than ordering directly from a retailer. The unit MUST have a cover when left outside and you will need the cover immediately after assembly so order to arrive it in advance of the unit. I am not sure the exterior burner would add much value if you decide to buy the unit with a four burner feature. The fourth burner is located outside the unit on the end and it costs an extra $50. Each end of this unit is black metal and warms a plate nicely while cooking your BBQ by drawing heat from the three internal burners. The unit weighs about 150lbs and is delivered via a freight truck. I had them wheel it to my garage and where I un-boxed it and took the parts to the deck for assembly. This was easy. I consider this product very good - easy to assemble and extremely easy to use. Good luck.
