5 of 5 Really good buy Sunday, January 18, 2009 Andre B. from Tucson, AZ
This Dual car stereo was a really good buy. Really works well and I am enjoying listening to the HD radio stations. I also play my ipod through the auxiliary port on the front of the radio (the radio will not play itunes files through the usb port). The only real issue with this radio is that it transitions between the HD and analog broadcasts depending on the strength of the signal. When this happens, there is a pause, or muting of the signal being broadcast which can be annoying. Overall, it sounds great and performs well. Definitely a good buy. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Powerful Thursday, September 18, 2008 A Customer from Las Vegas, NV
I just hooked it up to my old factory speakers and they made me jump! installation was easy,i did it myself. If you plan to install it yourself buy from those wire harnesses, very handy.
I strongly recommend this product to everyone. Has many features out of the box + HD Radio. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 No better buy for the money. Saturday, August 23, 2008 Joe T. from Mission, KS
I looked all over for the radio I wanted. First I just wanted a stereo with an AUX port for my MP3 player. Than I came across a JVC with an AUX port and a built in HD radio. So then I decided to keep looking. Most HD radios are $100 buy themselves and require a separate car stereo that has a built in HD receiver port. So that right there is another $100-$200, plus you have to buy a mounting kit for the HD box. So I ended up at Nebraska Furniture Mart, and saw this Dual radio, with the HD Radio, AUX port, and a built in USB port. Are you kidding me? This was pretty cool. Dual may not be a Pioneer, or an Alpine, but for a 30 year old guy that doesn't care about my car vibrating any more with sub woofers and crap this is a cool stereo. So I wrote down the MFG number and then searched for the stereo on Google. Buy.com popped up with this stereo for over, $40 less, then it was in the store. Plus it had free shipping. Duh, no brainer. So I bought it, and when it came it was a breeze to install myself. I already had a previous Pioneer installed buy Best Buy years and years ago. So I was able to reuse the mounting bracket and wiring harness, just had to buy some new crimps ($6), and from there it was just matching the same colored wires to the same colored wires. Then hooking the ground back up, and plugging the antenna back in and I was done. Easy as pie, and I couldn't be happier with my radio. The coolest thing is that I can plug my MP3 player straight into the USB port and the control it through the car stereo. It will display song title and artist, on the HD stations, and on my MP3 player. Sound quality is great too, I still use the factory speakers and they sound better than ever.
All in all you can't find a better buy if all you want is a new up to date head unit. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 A good radio with a lot of features for the money Wednesday, July 30, 2008 Jason from Downingtown, PA
I purchased the Dual XHD6425 because of all the options it offers for the price. The sound and build quality is good, but the buttons are a little small. The bluetooth and USB work great and the CD quality is impressive for a $100 radio. The remote is an added bonus. The problem with this unit is you can not turn off or override the digital HD radio, so in areas where reception is poor, the tuner keeps jumping back and forth between digital and analog...very annoying. Overall, I would recommend it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Nice Stereo Wednesday, July 16, 2008 John O'Bryan from Westwood Hills, KS
This was pretty easy to install, and it works well. The HD Radio does give excellent sound quality, but HD comes in and out for me on my favorite station. When it switches from HD to standard I get a short little echo. This thing is packed with features and so far they are easy to use. The main reason I bought this, other than the fact that my last stereo was a total hunk of junk, was the bluetooth module. The bluetooth module is a very easy install and it works great. Caller ID shows up on the stereo, and sound routes through the stereo speaker. So far the callers have been able to understand me just fine, even on the highway in my noisy 97 corolla. While not the most powerful nor easiest to use, this Dual HD car stereo is a great value. It isn't really hard to use, but I have seen easier interfaces.
I will buy this model again for my electric car later this year.
HD radio is great. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very good unit with optional Bluetooth Module Thursday, June 05, 2008 A Customer from Staten Island, NY
The HD radio is really good, much better than I expected.
I also installed the optional BT module. It can easily connect to my bluetooth enabled smartphone automatically every time I turn on the unit. I can use it as hands free and streaming music from the phone. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great sounding stereo deck and lots of features Monday, May 26, 2008 Roger from Lincoln, NE
I bought this to replace the factory stereo in my Honda C-RV that had no CD player. After having it installed and trying all the features, I am really pleased with it. The sound is so much better, it is easy to operate, and it has so many features that even more expensive decks don't have. I loaded three CDs onto a 1GB memory flash drive, and the tracks play perfectly thru the USB port! I also purchased the Dual BTM60 Bluetooth module and it works great with this deck. I highly recommend this for the sound, features, and price. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Nice radio for a "no name" brand Friday, April 18, 2008 Steve B from Talleyville Delaware
When the factory radio in my Jeep died I wanted to get a reasonably priced unit that played CD/MP3 and HD radio with multicast. "Dual" was the best price and other reviews were positive. I installed the unit in like 20 minutes and was getting HD and regular analog station in perfect clarity. It is EASY to use and has a remote control! So far I love it. If it is reliable and lasts then I will be a loyal Dual client in the future too! Sony and JVC are just SAD manufacturer these days. Their support is horrible and they are not competative. I DEFINAELT recommend this radio. It even has features I will hardly ever use like USB support and blue tooth! Was this review helpful?

This is my first HD radio so I don't know how it compare to others. Have this radio for about a month now. Installation was easy.I live in Miami. This radio picks up every station on the dial, which is a lot. It is much better at getting station than my old radio. One thing I don't like is that it plays your USB mp3s according to the date and time when you copied the file to the thumb drive. This makes it hard to find your music when you have a lot files. Apart from that everything works flawlessly. Was this review helpful?
