We purchased a 50" lcd 1080p tv for the master bedroom. The picture was great but the sound was terrible. Consequently, the search for a speaker bar began. Took a risk with the Ilive brand as I had never heard of them before. All other choices were 2-3 times as costly. The results were a pleasant surprise and a dramatic improvement. You'll need to buy your own cables though. None are included.

I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase. Like other tech review sites, I found that this system outperforms nearly any other product in its price range. Even ranking it with higher priced systems in the 150 to 200 dollar range, it can hold its own. The ability to have 2 other sources connected to it simultaneously while also having the iPod docked in its motorized dock is an awesome convenience. The included remote and wall mounting brackets make it ideal for the bedroom television setup. I definitely recommend picking one of these up if you are looking for better sound that your TV can produce and for excellent music playback.

I really enjoy not just the sound, but being able to play the video stored on my Ipod through my TV. Is the sound the best ever? No, but this cost $77 and a Bose sound dock cost $270. Plus my Bose won't play video through the TV. For a bedroom stereo, the volume is fine and the appearance almost unnoticeable. The remote control could have been designed better, but its still useable.
