    The hip case fits snugly on a belt and provides quick and easy access to the iPhone without advertising it to the outside world. I had some apprehensions about both pretentiousness and theft after buying the iPhone on the first weekend it was issued. My first leather case, which carried the iPhone vertically and displayed the face, was more inconvenient in terms of taking it on and off the belt and taking it in and out of the case. The hipcase gives me instant access and the iPhone is very secure. The holes on the side gives me assurance that I returned the iPhone to its case with just a touch. I highly recommend the hipcase.
