Dirt Devil 085805 Ultra Swivel Glide Bagless Upright Vacuum

I think this is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned, and I have owned a bunch. You will be amazed at the amount of dirt you'll pick up on what looks like a clean floor.

This vacuum has great suction but the exhaust is also pretty strong so dust, hair, etc. gets blown around too. The vaccum glides easily on its swiveling rear wheels and is lightweight. Cons are: short hose and attaching the hose can be difficult

Has as much suction as much more expensive models, very light-weight. No roller-brush wand, but given the price that's not a problem. Easy to empty container.

For the price paid, this is not a bad unit. Basically sturdy, it seems to have no problem picking up the dirt and debris from the carpeted areas,the tiled floors and hardwood floors. The container that holds the dirt is pretty easy to empty but I have a new home and when I vacuum the new carpets the "fuzz" that gets picked up is hard to empty out of the dirt container because the filter base is wider then it's base at the bottom of the dirt container. Easy enough to pull off, empty and replace but could have been engineered a little better in my humble opinion. The other two "faults" I find is 1) The power switch is a little hard to hit as it is positioned beneath a hose and tight to the base of the vacuum. If it was 3/4 longer it would be great. 2)the "Handle Release" mechanism seems to not be too strong, when I tilt the machine back to roll it back to the closet for storage, 95 % of the time it flops down into the position for vacuuming. Would I buy it again, all things considered, Yes.
