Eleanor Dingle(Veronica Cartwright) would make the Capital Hill Gang blush in this black comedy about power, seduction and backbiting. Never mind that the senator's daughter has three suitors ahead of him, the sons Mrs. Dingle's arch-rival and played in a hilarious turn by Erik Palladino. Barry Dingle (Barry Shurchin) suffers from an overbearing mother, Eleanor (Veronica Cartwright), and his own idiosyncrasies. When Eleanor takes it upon herself to arrange a courtship between her son and a senator's daughter, the cards are not stacked in his favor. The deadpan hilarity that ensues is reminiscent of Mike White's (CHUCK & BUCK) dark comedy, with Nicole Sullivan (KING OF QUEENS) and Lukas Haas (EVERYONE SAYS I LOVE YOU) in inspired supporting roles.
